JACE•

I feel terribly bad for lying to my girlfriend. She deserves to know, but I can't just tell her right away. What if she gets scared? She'll get so scared she might runaway. Get away from me even. I can't tell her now. It's too much for her to handle. Plus, she doesn't even know that her friends are witches and vampires. Except for that girl, Nattie. No, wait. I overheard that she became an angel or some sort.

"Jace, babe." Just the sound of her voice made me so happy.

"Babe!" I yelled and ran up to her to hug her. I buried my face in her hair. I missed her so much.

"I missed you." She said, but it wasn't just a normal I miss you kind of things where she says it normally. Her voice was cracking and I could tell from the wetness of my shirt that she was crying. I put her chin between my thumb and index finger then pecked her lips.

"I know, baby. I'm sorry but I'll make it up to you, yeah?" She nodded. We went inside the house and went inside our kitchen. Yes, our. My friends live here with me too. Just like she does with those... Girls. She leaned on the kitchen counter and sighed. "What is it, baby?"

"It's nothing. Just... Nothing." She sighed again. I put my arms on her waist as she put her arms on my neck.

"Tell me, babe. Please. You know you can trust me." I pleaded.

"Fine," She huffed. "I just... We-You've been so distant with me lately. Do you know love me anymore? Do you want a break from this relationship or...?" She trailed off.

"No, baby. It's not that. I just have some... Things to do. I'm very sor-"

"I think we need a break." She said, removing her arms around my neck and started to walk out. I grabbed her wrist and stopped her.

"No, please. I promise I'll change. Please. Just please don't leave me." I begged. She shook her hand and freed from my touch.

"Sorry, Jace. I just think that our relationship isn't working out." She said. This made my heart shatter to pieces. I don't know what I'd do without her here.

"Please. Val, don't leave me." I begged, but that didn't help though. I heard the door open and close. She was gone. She was gone. I landed on my knees and put my hands on my face.

"She's gone. She's gone." I repeated over and over again.

"Who's gone, mate?" I looked up and saw Marco.

"Val. She-she broke u-up with m-me." I stuttered.

"Good. More less of your worries. She's a pain in the ass, anyway. And she's a clingy bitch." He said. His words made me angry.

"She. Is. Not. A. Bitch." I said through gritted teeth. I pushed him against the wall and held him by his neck. "DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT!" I growled.

"Can't handle the truth, Jc?" He challenged.

"WHAT THE HELL, JACE!" Someone shouted. I stormed out the door and ran to the forest. I shifted and ran.

Snap!

I sniffed and looked up. Vampire. I saw a figure run away fast. It was a red-headed vampire. What shocked me was that she stopped, and so did I. She slowly turned around, so I phased.

"Luna?!"

"Jace. Tsk tsk tsk! You broke my poor bestfriends heart." She said.

"She was the one who broke up with me!" I yelled.

"Yeah! Cause you're a jerk! You don't even have time for her! You deserved it asshole!" She yelled back.

"I guess." I mumbled. But with her vampire hearing she could've heard it.
