Fourteen

• LEAH •

The last thing I remember is I was talking to Nattie and Xavier about some boy who talked to her about something. I felt something something hard slapped my cheek, I opened my eyes slowly and sat up on my bed. My vision was blurry, I rubbed my eyes and it went clear and I saw Xavier, sitting on the edge of my bed.

“Did you just slapped me?” I said to him.

“I thought you’re never gonna wake up, so you know that’s the only way to wake you up.” He shrugged. I sat beside him on the edge of bed and looked at the floor and I sighed.

“What happened to me?”

“You don’t remember anything?”

I shake my head and he just sighed, “How about we go outside to get some air, so you can think? Is that okay?” he asked, I nodded and sat up.

by the time we get downstairs, we saw Val sitting on the couch watching something.

“Hey, Val. Me and Leah, are just going to go outside to get some air." Xavier said and Val just nodded as she waved her hand.

When we went out of the house, we headed to the lake and sat down at the nearest tree. I tried to remember what happened to me but I freaking can't! i really can't remeber anything. I plucked some grass of the ground. When i put my hands around my knees and layed my head on Xavier's shouler. I can feel somebody's watching us. 

"Are we alone, Xavier?" i asked him.

"No, why?" 

"Nothing, i just got a feeling that we're not." i exhaled.

• XAVIER •

Leah's right, i got that feeling. that we're not alone. I looked behind us but there's nothing there.

I drifted to sleep but i was awaken by a loud scream, i opened my eyes and saw Leah was taken away deep in the woods.

''Leah!!!" i screamed and went after her but i something grabbed my mouth. I looked at the person who covered my mouth.

Marco.

I tried to escape from his grip but he was too strong. Something hard hit my head and my vision began to blur, all i heard was a scream by my sister.

I woke up with my hands were chained, i saw Leah on the other side of the wall. we're in a cellar. 

''Leah." i whispered. but she kept her head down.

''Leah!!'' i said loudly, she raised her slowly. she has a black eye on her left eye and a bruise on both cheeks. Whoever did this to my sister. i will kill them.

''Xavier...'' she said sofly. 

"What happened?!" I ask loudly.

"Shhhh!" She shushed.

I look around and saw Marco. He's talking to someone. "Watch the prisoners carefully." He said. After he said that he give a small stone to the girl then he walked away.

"Oh! the prisoners just woked up!" the girl said.

"Who are you?" Leah said with a calm tone.

"I'm Nina." The girl said.

"Why did you do this to us?" Leah asks.

"Because we need you to do something for us.'' said Nina.

I looked at Leah, she looked at me worriedly. Nina walked away and looked at Leah again. ''Did you know about this?'' i asked her.

''Yes.'' she said softly. 

''What do they want from us? A freaking spell?!'' i said loudly. ''I don't know, Xavier!'' 

I sighed, I remebered something. Marco gave Nina a stone but what the hell is it? What is this spell, they want from us?.

• LEAH •

3 days had passed by but there is no rescue from Nattie and Luna. Where the hell are they?, they're probably worried about us. 

''Leah?'' I heard Xavier as i came back to reality.

''What?'' 

He was supposed to say something but he was cut off by the noise of keys. Marco and some boy opened the cellar.

''Get the girl only.'' i heard Marco.

''What?! No!'' Xavier screamed but the boy punched him. ''No!!'' i screamed ''Xavier!'' i screamed again. And Marco unlocked my chains and dragged me out of the cell, followed by the boy who locked Xavier alone in the cellar.

• LUNA •

Me, Valerie, and Nattie are so worried about Leah and Xavier they haven't gotten home for 3 days! Can you believe it people? 3 freaking DAYS!

''Guys, i need some sleep now.'' Valerie said, we nodded and she ran to her room.

''Do you think it's Marco?'' Nattie says.

''I think, i've been trying to track their scent all day and night but it looks like their scent dosen't exist in this world.'' i sighed as i sat down on the couch and put my hand on my forehead.

''Do you think that's possible?''  i heard her.

''I don't know, Nattie. It's intresting.'' we sighed and stayed in silence. ''I'm tired, i think i should be going to bed.'' she said. i nodded and i was left alone in our living room.

I walked outside and began to hunt Leah's and Xavier's scent. I smelled a scent but it dosen't belong to the two. i looked behind my back and saw girl leaning on the side of the tree. ''You must be Leah's and Xavier's friend, right?'' she smirked.

''Where are they? And who are you?''

''Ohh, they're with Marco and i'm Nina. i'm a witch like Leah.'' 

''You must be curious why you can't track their scent?'' she added. ''Yes.'' i said, glaring at her.

''Well, I put a shield around Marco's house so you can't track them.'' she explained. ''Where's Marco?'' i said ''I said enough.'' She says as she vanished into thin air.

I walked inside the house and ran upstiars to my room. I crawled up to my bed as stared at the ceiling. What does Marco want with us? And what does he want with Leah and her brother? Is this some kind of spell? But what kind? 

All these thoughts and questions kept floating in my head, I shook my head to come back to reality. I closed my eyes as i drifted to sleep.
