{Justin lives in LA, you live in London.}
"Isn't there something I can do or say to make you stay?"
Justin looked to his side, while tracing pattern in your naked back.
"I'm sorry" he said "I leave to Los Angeles in three hours. I really can't stay..."
Outside, the clouds were threatening to leak, and the sky was almost black.
He got up and headed to the shower, while you lay in bed.
The previous night had been the best night of your life.
But now he dream was over. Justin was going back to LA, and you were going to be stuck in the cloudy and rainy London, until one of you could afford to leave everything and visit the other.
Now you understood why long distance relationships never worked out.
All of a sudden, the sky was filled with lightning bolts.
Justin couldn't go.
The flights would be canceled because of the weather, and he would leave you... all alone.
He came out of the loo completely dressed up.
"Do you want me to drive you to Heathrow?"
"No, it's not necessary darling, I'll just take a cab..."
"When will I be able to see you again?"
He thought for a bit.
"Thanksgiving?"
"We don't celebrate that... And I already have a wedding the weekend after... I'll be on a 10 hour flight on Thanksgiving day."
"Christmas?"
"I'm going to Paris with mom and dad...What about New Year's Eve?"
"Nah... Musical.ly is having a party for us, and we're going on touring the beginning of January anyway."
"Well we have my birthday in the beginning of February"
"We'll be in Hawaii... It is a 16 hour flight..."
"Easter?"
I'm not sure..."
He lowered his head while you glared at him...
"So, that is it? We're not going to see each other for the next 6 months?"
" I'll call you at every opportunity I have... And there is Skype...."
"It's not the same thing Justin... I've been so busy with University and my internship and every time I speak to you or one of the boys, there was a party or something, and as a girlfriend I feel left out... I don't see you as nearly as much as the boys and we don't see each other enough to make this relationship work!"
"This relationship is working! We've been making it work for the past 4 months!"
"Yes, and though I love you very much, they were 4 miserable months..."
he stood there, next to the bed, while you curled into the warm sheets, trying to cover your naked body.
for the first time in 4 months, he had seen it all, and now, after trusting him enough to take what was the most important to you, you found yourself hiding...
"Maybe you should go... You don't want to be late for your flight home..."
He didn't say another word. He just packed his toothbrush in silence, gave you a kiss on your forehead and left the apartment.
You tried to hold back the tears, but there was a stubborn one that insisted in falling.
You didn't have time to cry.
After a long and hot shower and getting into some old sweats, pancakes sounded perfect for breakfast.
And as you sat there, munching pieces of pancake soaked in maple syrup, you thought how the morning could have been if Justin had stayed.
He could have been the one making breakfast, he might have insisted in making breakfast while you stayed in bed...
But maybe this was for the best...
By 1pm, there was a storm outside and the news reporter said that most planes to the outside of the UK had been canceled, and there wasn't a reschedule in sight.
This time apart was perfect to think about this "relationship" you and Justin had.
From that moment on, you wouldn't be an Oreo anymore you would be two separate pieces and white cream unevenly distributed between them...
All of a sudden the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Helloo sweetie it's Mrs. Jones. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
"No, no Mrs. Jones, do you need anything."
"Yes actually there is a boy at the front desk, with an extremely heavy bag, and he says that he is of your acquaintance...boyfriend is that it? Yeah? Yes, sweetie he says he's your boyfriend..."
As much as you wanted to say "I don't have a boyfriend", you couldn't.
"....Is she still there?" Justin said in the background.
After a few moments of thought.
"Send him up Mrs. Jones"
You waited anxiously in front of the outside the apartment and as soon as Justinsaw you, he let go of the bag, and ran towards you, picking you up and spinning around.
When he laid you on the floor you hugged for what it seemed a long time.
"Shouldn't you be on an airplane?"
" I never got to the airport."
