"Wuuuaaahhh," the little boy galloped on the side walk ahead of me with his arms spread out. "Be careful!!"
I called out to the toddler, but right at that moment the toddler tripped over himself, planting his chest and face to the ground.

I'M SUCH A GOOD PARENT SHIT.

Worried, I sprinted over to the injured boy. he was already up by the time I crouched down to check on him. He stared at you blankly, face red. His lip twitched and that cued- crying.

"UAAAAAAHAAAHAA- AAAA!!!" I held him close to you at your hip. He cried into my shoulder. I sighed and smiled knowingly, as my shirt got more damp from tears and possibly snot. I stood up and continued to walk to our destination, as he quieted down to small whimpering and sniffles/hiccups. I rubbed circles on his back as the two of us arrived at the daycare.

Mrs. Kim smiled at me, which I returned as we were walking toward her. But when she heard the boys sniffling, her expression became concerned. "Oh my... what happened to you?" She cooed at Hoseok, offering him a lollipop from her pocket.

Well she came prepared.

I gently set Hoseok down,"Mommy's gotta go to work now, Hobi. No more tears okay?" The small boy nodded solemnly, pouting a bit. I copied his expression and kissed his eyes and forehead, hugging him one last time before turning to leave. "Mommy!" I felt something wrapped around one of my legs, "Hobi! Jin is here today, lets go and play." I smiled at the desperate looking boy.

"Mommy will be back for you, okay? Look! Jin is there waiting for you!" Said boy waved at the two of us, He was only 7 years old, and mature for his age. He was great at helping with the day care. Hoseok tightened his grip my legs one last time before letting me leave. Making a pouty face, I said goodbye to my son and Mrs. Kim And headed off to work.
