((AUTHOR'S NOTE
This fanfic took me like 3 weeks to make. Just before school started I watched The Phantom Menace again. It was then I realized that I was in love with Obi-Wan Kenobi. I mean, in the original series he was one of my favourite characters, but he was a crusty old guy then, haha. But in the prequels... man! (Ewan McGregor, guys. He's a gift.) Anyway, I wanted to write a fanfiction about him, and while writing it I came across so many writers blocks and during that time I couldn't even come up with a name for the reader's master. So, that's where you guys come in. (M/N) literally means (Mater's Name). You get to make it up. It makes my job a little easier, and gives you a chance to get a little creative. (Y/N) is the standard (Your Name) as usual. I hope you enjoy!))

Strolling into the Jedi temple, materials in hand, you decided that you were going to construct your very own Lightsaber. You had one while you were still in training as a child, but you had lost yours while on a recent mission with your master.

You could buy one, but you wanted it to be your own. You wanted to have a crystal you made on your own to be part of your lightsaber. But more importantly to you, you wanted to impress someone.

That someone was your best friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You loved him, and just about everyone around you knew it, even though you were subtle (at least you thought you were).

You sometimes even were given the lecture about “The Force comes first” by your master.

He was a much more talented padawan than you were, and he was training under one of the most amazing Jedi you knew of: Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-Wan was humble and kind while you were reserved, helping with subtle actions. While you two were different, you clicked the day you met.

While the both of you were nearing the end of your apprenticeships, you had more free time to train, or do as you pleased. This was an especially good time for you, since you wanted a few extra days to yourself to construct your new weapon.

While most Jedi went to other planets to gather crystals to use in their lightsaber, you were not allowed to travel to those planets on your own, so you decided to go down to the forge and create your own.

While you were walking down the hallway with your cloth backpack with the supplies for your lightsaber, you walked past Obi-Wan's quarters. Stopping for a moment, you smiled towards the slightly ajar door from the hallway, but Obi-Wan did not appear to greet you. Sighing, you continued on your way.

Climbing down the steps of the temple and into the small forge that the jedi kept for any lightsaber repairs, or creation. You took a seat, positioned yourself and focused all of your energy into one spot.

For three days you sat in your spot, meditating.

~Three days pass~

Once your crystal had formed in the space before you, you had the audacity to open your eyes and observe the color of crystal the Force allowed you to create. It was an amber color, meaning that you would now have a yellow-bladed lightsaber.

It was strange, you thought, how you had received a single yellow crystal of a Jedi Sentinel when you only used a two-handed blade. Though most Jedi Sentinels fought with two lightsabers, you didn't mind being different.

Perhaps this would give your training a bit of a curve towards what you wanted to pursue.

Despite what you were thinking about, you decided it was time to put your new lightsaber together. You grabbed the materials you got from a friend that worked at a smith shop, and all the other wires you had from your bag and suspended them in the air with the Force.
