(Emily's P.O.V)

"Bye Em" Kayla yells

"Bye Kayla message me" I hope off the bus and start walking home, my house is like 5 minutes away.

I see the house next door to mine and it's sold 'yeah another old couple' my mind says, that house has been for sale nearly 75 times in a year. I walk inside my house and walk into the kitchen to see my mum

"hey mum"

"Hey darling how was school?" she says while washing up

"normal" I start walking to my room when mum calls out

"oh I almost forgot start getting ready we're meeting our new neighbours"

"ok" I yell back.

I decided to wear my blue skinny jeans and a crop top and a jacket I put my white chucks on and walks down the stairs to meet mum, who's waiting at the door.

"Finally now let's go"

I rolled my eyes and followed behind her, once we reach the door mum knocks and the door swings open to a man smiling.

"Hi you must be Mandy I'm Robert come in"

"Hello"

"hi I'm Emily it's nice to meet you" I smile and walk in following  behind Robert

He smiles and says "nice to meet you to"

We walk into their lounge room and where a guy what sitting there

"Brad these are our neighbours come meet them" Brad looked up and my heart nearly skipped a beat

He hope up and introduced himself "hi I'm brad" he smiled and put his hand out which my mum shakes "I'm Mandy and this is my daughter Emily" I smile "hi"

Mum walks into the kitchen where everyone else is while Brad and I start talking.

"How old are you"

"I...I'm.....i'm 17" I stutter, why am I stuttering!

He smiles "nice I'm 18"

I smile

"Dinner!"

"That was really good thank you" I smile looking at everyone at the table.

"Your welcome darling anytime" I smile

"The food was beautiful, thank you so much we should really head home now" mum starts to hop up. We all start heading for the door "thank you so much again it was lovely meeting our new neighbours"

I say goodbye and start walking out "Emily! .......Emily!" I turn around and see brad coming over, mum smiles and keeps walking home, Brad stops in front of me and smiles "i forgot to give you something" he gives me a piece of paper and says "I'll see you later on" and smiles, I smile and start walking home.

When I reach home I pull my phone out of my jeans and smile while looking down at the little piece of paper with numbers on it, I add brad's number into my contacts and message him.

To brad

'Hi brad, it's Emily :)'

I grab a towel and clothes to wear to bed I have a shower and come back in my room and check my phone that had a message

From Brad

'Hey what's going on x'

To brad

'Just had a shower about to watch a movie, you?'

From Brad

'Nothing really, plans for tomorrow?"

To brad

'Sleep in and then nothing, you?'

From Brad

'Nothing, let's hang out tomorrow we'll go do something!'

To brad

'Sounds like a plan! see you then x'

From Brad

'Byeeeee x'

I put my phone down and go to the lounge room and watch my favourite movie of all time 17 again I put it on and watch it until my eyes start to get heavy and close.

That's the end sorry it was terrible I know but it should get better
