i rolled to the right, i rolled to the left, i laid on my chest, and tried every single sleeping pose i could think of, but i still can't fall asleep.

"arghh!" i whispered in frustration.

i decided to just grab a glass of water outside. but as i look over to where the sofa, i saw.. urm, jinyoung?

he turned around and asked, "mark hyung! can't sleep?"

"yea, what about you?" i asked back and walked to the kitchen.

"same, so i decided to just finish a few pages from this book instead."

"well, atleast you have something else to do. i'm suffering right now," i said as i plopped onto the sofa.

"wanna borrow a book?" jinyoung asked, not taking his eyes off the book he's reading.

"nah, i'm in the mood for reading," i said as i lazily scrolled down my phone.

"you know," i said and looked at him, "why don't you read me a bedtime story?"

"hyung, you're older than me! and please, i'm not your mom."

"but you once said you're my mom. should i go and search the video to pro-"

"are you in one of your 'fooling around' moods right now?" jinyoung asked as he close his book, not forgetting to marked the spot he's currently reading first.

"i.. don't know," i answered and went back to my phone.

"or are you being like this just for a distraction?" he asked again.

"truthfully, i don't know," i answered, "what i know is that i want to sleep but i can't."

"try listening to some instrumentals, or read a book, or just count sheeps," jinyoung suggested.

"counting sheep? seriously?" i asked him in disbelief.

"what? i heard that you can get tired-"

"i know, but nah. in fact, i'm going back to my room right now," i said, "thank you, jinyoung-ah!"

"jut so you know, hyung, i'm here if you want someone to talk to!" was the last thing i heard before i close the bedroom door.
