“Oh now, you want me to be with him?” I said glaring at Helena.

“Yeah, you’re in your final year and he’s working. You can date him and who knows you guys can get married in the next two years or three”.
We were in Eunice’s car going to church for the crossover, it’s 31st December. Yay☺☺
“He’s not even proposed yet. I’m sure he’s not really into me that much again, so stop asking me to date him. The ball isn’t in my court”, I said.
“Can you girls stop talking about my brother like I’m not here”, Eunice said rolling her eyes.

“You can help me out by telling this blind girl that your brother is into her”, Helena said back.
“Well, I don’t know about that”, Eunice said.
Helena and I glared at her.

“What? And we’re going to church, draw your minds back home and stop fantasizing”, she said rolling her eyes.

We glared at her again and kept quiet.
What’s with her? Are her menstrual hormones on duty?

She parked her car at the car park and we got out.
We got in and sat at the choir section and Eunice sat by her brother.
During the service, they both kept on stealing glances at me and giggling.
I felt really embarrassed. I just hope she’s not telling him what we said in the car. She can’t right?
I turned my attention away from them and focused on my dad who was teaching the word.

After the service, I quickly rushed out of the church to join my brother in his car. I didn’t want to sit in Eunice’s car for her to get me upset.
But Eugene stopped me.
Oh God save me😩😩
“Aria, was church so boring or disturbing that you couldn’t wait to leave?” he said cynically.
“Happy new year to you too”, I said rolling my eyes.

“Happy new year Baby”.

“Uhhm, are we safe?” I said confused.
“Follow me”, He said pulling me out.
“Uhmm, I don’t have a choice because you’re already pulling me along”, I said trailing behind him.
He pulled me to the drive way and knelt in front of me.
“Eugene please, I’ll faint”.

“Shuussh”, He said taking out his car keys.
Now I’m confused.
“Aria Smith, will you marry me?”
I really need to faint right now. God help me out. Marriage? Not even date?
Oh my God.
“Yes, I will”, I said smiling. “But why do you have a car key and not a ring”.

He ignored me and put the keys in my hand.
“Press the unlock button”, he said.
I did and I heard the car behind me unlock.
I turned around and I was really marvelled.
It was a white Chevrolet cruze sedan.
🚗
“Oh my God Eugene. I’ve always wanted this car, how did you know?” I said going around the car.
“I’m Eugene😌. C’mon😏. This is your new year/engagement gift”.
“Thanks Baby”, I said hugging him.
“Are we safe?” he said imitating me.

I opened the car and I saw a vintage ring💍on the seat.
“Finally, she has opened the car”,😒 he said taking the ring.
He went down on his knees again.
“Aria, will you be the mother of my kids?”
I rolled my eyes.

“When I agreed to marry you, what were you thinking, that I’ll let someone else be the mother of our kids?”
“Just say yes already”, I heard Eunice say from behind me.
I turned around and I saw my family and friends there.
I’m so going to kill Eunice. She knew about it and she was being mean to me.
“Yes”, I said. And Eugene placed the ring on my finger.
Everyone applauded and I went to hug my parents.
I was really happy.
God, I thank you☺
