Chapter 9: Weirdness And Suspicions

   Fear, nervousness, anxiousness and dread. That's the feeling everyone from 3-E gets as they find themselves going up the mountain to their old rundown classroom. Before, they were the one suppose to be killing their teacher, now someone is trying to kill them. And Hazama said that the killer is one of the students in the class.

   It was also weird. Koro-sensei, who's suppose to like... know everything, but even he has no idea who the killer is. And not to mention he often looks nervous and he's been so jumpy ever since Yada's death. It was just not so like him.

   With a deep breath, Nagisa nodded to himself as he walked in the main campus building, together with Sugino and Karma. Even if they're lives are now in grave danger, they still have a  mission to assassinate Koro-sensei. They just have to kill Koro-sensei before the killer kills them. They're the only hope to save the earth after all.

   As they sauntered through the main campus, they were suddenly stopped by a certain strawberry blond haired boy and his so-called minio—err... friends.

"A-Asano-kun?" Nagisa mumbled.

"Hello, los— I mean my beloved 3-E." Gakusho Asano, the son of the school principal said, obviously about to say losers, Karma rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue,

'Psh. Beloved my ass.'

"What is it, Asano-kun?" Sugino asked, trying to keep a friendly tone as possible.

"I'm just wondering how you guys are doing," Asano said, his voice sounded so plastic.

"Why is that?" Nagisa asked, not trying to sound rude.

"Well, I have heard about your classmate's death, and being the student council president, I humbly and deeply give you my sympathy and condolences,"

"Thank you for the sympathy and condolences but we don't need any of it," Karma said, his tone filled with venom as he walked pass the A class students, Sugino tailing him. Nagisa gave them an apologetic bow before following the two.

   Koro-sensei entered the classroom, from the window and what he saw almost broke his heart. His once happy students who were always filled with energy and joy was now replaced with terrified faces. Trying to be attentive and alert at all time and feeling each other's presence. He even noticed Hazama's seat empty.

   He wanted to see the joy and smiles in his students faces again, that's why he thought of something fun for them to do to get their minds off about the death of their classmates and also focus on their assassination. And thankfully Karasuma-sensei agreed to it, after an hour long beg and pleases.

"Alright, everyone. I have some news to tell you!" The yellow octopus like teacher said happily. The students turned their attention to him, Koro-sensei almost frowned. None of them were smiling and their eyes weren't shinning like they used to.

"Why don't we all go have a class trip?! We'll go camping, hike the mountain, practice you're assassination. And have loads of fun!!!" Koro-sensei said gleefully.

"Class trip?" Then they all began whispering and talking to each other.

"Where shall we go, Koro-sensei?" Kurahashi asked, raising her right hand.

"Nurufufufufu.... Leave it all to me. Then it's settled. This following Monday, the assassination classroom is going on a memorable and fun class trip together!!"

"Yeah!!"

Koro-sensei smiled sadly, it's true that the students are smiling, but it wasn't shinning like the way they used to before.

'I'm sorry about everything... Everyone...'

"A class trip to the mountains, huh?" Sugino mumbled, he was sitting under the usual sakura tree together with Nagisa, Kayano, Okuda, Rio, Kanzaki and Karma.

"Yeah! It sounds fun, right guys?" Kayano said cheerfully.

"It sure is... But why a class trip all so sudden." Nagisa said.

"M-maybe Koro-sensei just wants us to stop worrying and have fun. And also focus on the assassination." Okuda said.

"Yeah, Koro-sensei just wants us to relax. And since we were all distressed at everything that's happening." Kanzaki added.

"I don't know... The mountains. Sounds like a perfect place for killing to me." Karma said mysteriously that it made their skin crawl.

"Wh-what are you talking about, Karma-kun?" Nagisa asked.

"The mountains. There's a lot of places where it's suitable to kill someone there. It's a perfect destination for killing a pack of students." Karma said and he smirked when he saw their faces, "Aw come on. Don't give me that look. I'm just saying what I think. That the mountain is—"

"C-come on, Karma-kun. Stop saying things like that already. We all know Koro-sensei wouldn't let it happen," Kayano said cutting Karma off, laughing a bit.

"Really?" Karma rose an eyebrow, his infamous smirk still on, "Look what happened to Yada-san , Hara-san and the other guy from Terasaka's group. They were all killed. And Hazama is mysteriously gone. I bet she's also now dead too." Karma said and stood up and left the group shocked and surprised.

"Karma-kun..." Nagisa mumbled. Ever since the first incident, also Karma has been acting a bit weird.

"Nagisa, seriously. I really think Karma's so suspicious." Sugino whispered to the bluenette, nudging him with his elbow.

"Suspicious?" The bluenette asked in confusion.

"Yeah. Don't you think it's so weird that Karma seems like the only one who's so nonchalant and calm about this ? Maybe he's the ki—"

Nagisa dismissed Sugino, as politely as possible. "Karma may be a sadist and he likes scaring people, but I don't think he would go that far killing a person. I... I just know he wouldn't."

"I don't know about you. But I just don't want to be next. Just never let your guard down when you're with him." Sugino said.

"Hey, what are you guys whispering to each other about?" Rio leaned in, looking at them intently.

"O-oh... N-nothing it's... nothing..." Nagisa stammered, waving his hands at them.

"Come on. Just tell us," Kayano insisted.

"Really guys, it's nothing. We're just talking about the trip that's all." Sugino reasoned.

Rio and Kayano gave them a pout, "You guys are so unfair." Kayano said and stomped away, Rio following her.

"What's with Kayano-chan?" Nagisa asked, Sugino just shrugged. Clueless himself.

Kanzaki and Okuda both stood up, "We're just gonna go back to in, okay, guys?" Kanzaki said as Sugino just smiled and nodded.

Nagisa looked down, biting his lower lip nervously,

'Ever since the first incident. It's like the others are starting to act really weird... Like they were all acting so suspicious...'

   Meanwhile at the forest, a person slumped on the tree, chuckling creepily. Stabbing the tree behind it again and again with a bloodstained knife.

"Class Trip to the mountains, huh? Sounds like fun. I can't wait to see the terrified and dreaded look on their faces once I slaughter them all there..."

"This should be fun."
