HD 188753, is a Jupiter sized planet with a triple star system. Meaning that it has 3 visible suns in it's local sky. But of course, this dosen't mean it orbits three stars at once, that would be near impossible, but it orbits it's parent star HD 188753 A closer than Mercury and has two stars in the distance the same size as it would appear as our sun in Earth's sky. This planet is located 149 lightyears away in the constellation Cygnus, the swan. The main star is similar in mass to our own sun, as for being very close to it, it completes an orbit every 3 and a half days.
It's still a mystery to how this planet formed, especially in these conditions as the three stars could be pulling it in to different directions and even end up ripping it apart. HD 188753 is in a class of extrosolar planets called "hot Jupiters" which are gas giants that zip closely around their parent stars. HD 188753 is sometimes called
HD 188753 Ab but the normal one sounds catchier and shorter to say.
