jungkook was early, as always. he stood on the icy and cold street, the wind whipping around his ears and face, tousling his hair and throwing locks into the air.

"jeon!" a warm and oh-so-familiar voice called out, bringing jungkook's attention to a figure rapidly approaching from down the street. jungkook smiled widely, jogging towards the excited older male. the street was completely devoid of all life, save the two young males running towards each other.

jungkook was suddenly engulfed in the warmth and softness that was taehyung, taehyung's arms wrapping around his waist, and as cheesy and cliché as it may sound, to jungkook, taehyung felt like home. a smile was situated firmly on his face, grinning with excitement. jungkook was in an insanely good mood, his smile was wide, smile lines evident around his eyes. his face was buried into taehyung's shoulder.

"hey, kookie." he chuckled, pulling away from the younger to study his pretty face. "how are you? its nice to see you during the day." jungkook laughed too, a sound that taehyung wanted to hear again and again.
"i'm good, really good actually," jungkook said, his smile still wide.
"im glad, its nice to see you so happy."
"it's thanks to you, hyung. y-you know you make me really happy, right?" jungkook laughed, taking taehyung's hands and swinging them between them.
"whoa whoa whoa, was my jungkookie flirting? oh my god, i'm so proud." taehyung pulled one of his hands from jungkook's to wipe away fake tears from his eyes.
"shu-shut up." shy jungkook returned, face flushing but smile staying just the same.

there's my shy jungkookie, taehyung thought, ruffling jungkook's hair playfully. "should we go?" he asked, turning down the street.

taehyung swung their hands as they walked, both smiling widely, a comfortable silence falling over them. jungkook was much more relaxed than he normally was, and he wasn't sure if that was due to the fact that someone was actually his friend or the fact that taehyung was taehyung. he was pretty sure it was both. jungkook was, yet again, daydreaming, and he didn't notice taehyung stopping in front of an old door. "jungkookie? whoa there, don't go wondering off." he laughed, circling his arm around the younger's waist and keeping a firm grip on it, making sure he couldn't run off, which was never jungkook's intention, but it was nice nonetheless, as the small action made the dark haired male feel wanted and secure, and there was nothing more he wanted in this world than that.

"uh— its not much, but welcome to my humble abode." taehyung said, leading jungkook through the door and up a wooden staircase. odd, but intriguing, to jungkook at least. the top of the stairs opened out to what was taehyung's apartment, which was a converted warehouse. it was minimal, faded leather sofas and light oak tables, books littered every surface, along with scattered empty coffee cups. it was homely and it just reminded jungkook so much of taehyung. it was warm and bright, the only colours present were warm, an entire spectrum of browns, from the light beige of coffee stains on paper, and the light wooden coffee table, to the dark brown leather sofas. then there was that smell, of cinnamon and vanilla and cologne. jungkook could just imagine taehyung lying on the sofa, his head in jungkook's lap and jungkook running his fingers through those green bangs. jungkook could imagine himself and taehyung sitting on the worn-out sofas, taehyung's arms around his waist, and his head on taehyung's chest, giggling and talking together.

but he could only imagine.

heat slowly crept up jungkook's cheeks, a dark rosy colour spreading across his delicate features. "shit, jungkook, you're bright red! are you sick? fuck, i knew i shouldn't have let you come out in this weather, i should've made sure you dressed extra warm, i'm sorr-" taehyung started, his large hands flying to jungkook's cheeks and brushing against his forehead, feeling for any slight temperature.
"hyung! i'm okay, really, don't worry, just a little, uh, cold." jungkook giggled, pulling taehyung's hands away from his face gently, looking back at the apartment. "you have a really nice house." jungkook's flat was bleak. grey carpets, white (but somewhat stained grey) walls and black furniture.

"ah! thank you, really," taehyung grinned, "but i should get you something warm to drink and a blanket, i don't want you to get sick, i don't have heating. tea? coffee? hot chocolate?" taehyung took jungkook's hand and led him through the room towards the kitchen, his warm caramel skin contrasting to jungkook's pale and freezing skin, taehyung's larger hand warming his.

"here," taehyung said, stopping in the kitchen, and turning to jungkook. he let go of the younger's hand, and instead put his hands on the younger's waist. jungkoook's eyes widened, "wha-" he let out a squeal as taehyung gently lifted jungkook's feet off the ground, and his arms instinctively threw his arms around taehyung's neck, and wrapped his legs around taehyung's waist. "taehyung!" taeyung just giggled quietly, and placd the lighter male on the kitchen counter, not removing his hands from the younger's waist. jungkook took a deep breath but did not move, keeping his arms around taehyung's neck, letting his legs dangle on either side of taehyung. "sorry," taehyung giggled again, his face scrunching into an adorable little grin, "did i startle you?"

"yes," jungkook said, pulling taehyung closer for a tight hug, "but i really don't mind."
