Typical Smiles

Chapter 2

"Madilyn, wake up. We are leaving tomorrow. Finish packing. The moving guys will be here in 3 hours," mom said waking me up.

I stood up and looked at my phone for the time.
9:15

I grab another box and throw random things into. I went to my closet and grabbed all the hangers off the rack, and throw them in the box.
I walk into my bathroom and grab my bag that I keep my bathroom things in, and put all my shampoos and stuff in it.
Then I put that in my box.

I grab a smaller box I had laying around in my room and put all my art stuff in it.

I put all my little things like jewelry and hair things into a little box. I put that box in my bigger box.

I then strip my bed of its sheets and covers and throw it into my last box.

I bring my 3 of my 4 boxes downstairs to see mom already got almost everything packed.

I run upstairs and brought some of my furniture like my lamp, night stand, dresser, and my mattress' and the frame downstairs to make it easier on the moving guys.

I go up to my room and look at how bare it looks. The only thing in there is my desk and my heaviest box.

I look at the time.
11:52

I walk downstairs to the kitchen and make myself some cereal. Everyone else has already eaten.

I go to my box, and take out an outfit for today, seems how I forgot to change. I quickly changed and walked outside to get the mail.

As I was walking out, the UPS delivery truck pulled up and handed me a package. I signed for the package, and walked to the mailbox.

It was just full of ads. I grabbed them and walked inside.

I set the ads down on the counter and opened the package.

It was a new Canon G7x 11 camera.

I never ordered this..?

I check the front of the package to see the name on it.

Sure enough, it said Madilyn Smith.

I put the camera back into the box and put it over in the pile of boxes.

Just then, I got a text.

I took my phone out and looked to see who it was. It was Bailee. One of my best friends.
B: Bailee . M: Madilyn.
B- heyyy
M- hey baes
B- you up for the mall today?
M- um sure. I can't spend anymore money tho. I spent 80 yesterday.
B- that's ok! I was gonna get you a going away gift!
M-you don't have to...
B- but I want toooooo
M-fine. I'll be there in an hour
B- okk byee

I put my phone back in my pocket.

Just as I was about to leave, the moving guys pulled up. I told them where my stuff was and where my room was.

I took the car to the mall to meet Bailee.

As I was driving to the mall, I got another text. Of course, I didn't look at it while I was driving, so I drove to Starbucks. I ordered 2 small mocha iced coffees with the leftover money from yesterday.

I took out my phone to look at the text. It was Camden.
It read: hey sissy! I know what I want for my birthday next year!

Then it had a picture attached

M: Madilyn. C: Camden
M- what's TFox?
C- it stands for Tanner Fox. He's a youtuber.
M- ohhh. Um, I'll see about getting it for you for Christmas or something.
C-Ok thanks Mads! Love youu
M-love you too

I grabbed my coffee and made my way out the door. I continued to drive to the mall. 

When I got there, I automatically saw Bailee standing there waiting by PINK.

I handed her the coffee I bought her and we went into PINK.

I decided to pick out black joggers that say PINK on the side, and a bottle of perfume. Then Bailee paid for it.

After spending about 3 hours at the mall, I went home.

It was already 4:00 so mom went and got us something to eat. She brought us back some Burger King.

After I ate, I fell asleep on the couch in the living room.
