This is something I had to write for English Class. My teacher and class liked it a lot so I decided to post it here...to hear what you guys have to say.

I highly recommend Roald Dahl's short stories

At the age of 6 he burned down his parent’s house. They deserved to burn. He didn’t get
the toy gun he wanted for christmas. At the age of 15 he cut of the toes of his foster-brother.
Carlos Esteban was no psychopath. He had a good reason. Said foster-brother refused to let
him read his book. Carlos snuck off to the kitchen, grabbed the shiniest knife he could find, and
“Chop!” A few hours later, his foster parents returned to a boy wailing on the kitchen floor, and
sitting in a pool of his own blood. His toes scattered across the tiles.
On the oak countertop there was a note. Carlos has run away again. This time to the big
city. There, he was introduced to the local crime scene. Gambling, drugs, and murder galore.
Not to mention the amazing job opportunities. On the eve of his 16th birthday he was hired for
his first job. It was a simple operation. Carlos had to seduce a drug lord's daughter and sever
her fingers. Of course this was for his boss’s revenge ploy. He executed the operation
successfully. His next jobs were no different.
Over the next two years he developed the reputation of a suave mercenary that would
gladly sever fingers, toes, heads, and any other body part for money. But still, Carlos Esteban
was no psychopath. Just a man who wanted money. Nothing more.
Three more years passed, he turned 21. It was then that he met an attractive American
smuggler. She was tall, blonde, and had a dazzling smile that easily got her out of sticky
situations. She was his next target. It should’ve been easy. The only problem was, he fell in
love. The two ruled the scene, until she left him.
Carlos moved back to his hometown with nothing of his own except for a white suit and
his creamy Panama hat. There, he realized that he should stick to the simple life. Carlos
resorted to only chopping of fingers. He gambled and won multiple pinkies. After leaving the
whole adult population of the town nearly fingerless, he moved to another town. And another.
And another. It was in the fourth town that he met his current partener. She had lovely long
fingers that were always painted blood red. His favorite color.
