Chapter 1: The Birth of A Destiny And A Curse

The sun rose high over Alabeth as the everyone in the kingdom made their way to Alabeth Castle to see the new member of the royal Lightheart Family. The Lightheart are a long line of powerful Sorcerers not to be confused with Witches or Wizards. Anyhow everyone in Alabeth was ecstatic once they found out that a Lightheart child had been born just a few days ago but, not everyone was happy about the new addition to the Lightheart Family. You see many years ago something happened between the Lightheart family and a sorcerer named Harod Coldflaw and he made it his life destiny to make sure the Lighthearts and all they cared about suffered just as he has.

In Alabeth Castle, the Throne Room was filled with people ready to gift the new child, guards blew the royal horns announcing the arrival of the Royal Family, the first to enter through the Royal Doors was Lady Agatha Finnigan sister in law of the King of Alabeth. Agatha had long straight black hair, tan skin, light brown eyes, and was about 5'9. Agatha is Assistant Headmistress at Nightingale Academy a magic school in their universe the Medieval Universe. Agatha made her way to stand beside the two thrones and a crib that was next to them. Seconds later King Ethan and Queen Jamille Lightheart who made their way to their thrones everyone bowed at their presence. Jamille Lightheart younger sister of Agatha, had deep brown skin, curly hair, dark brown eyes, and was about 5'4 while Ethan was 6'0 has light brown skin, light brown eyes, and black hair. Not a moment later an older woman entered with an infant in her arms it was the Lightheart child, they all bowed as the older woman handed Jamille the infant, Jamille cuddled the child as she and Ethan both stood "We give you Prince Mordecai Ethan Lightheart of Alabeth!" said Ethan loudly, the people of Alabeth cheered, minutes later heavenly lights descended form above, a man with wings materialized then the lights vanished this man was Jayden Earthlaw Guardian Angel of the Lighthearts. Jayden walked up to the Throne then bowed as he made his wings vanished, Jamille, Ethan, and Agatha hugged him "How have you been?' asked Agatha, Jayden answers "Waiting to meet the newest member of the family." "Well he's here." Replied Jamille, Ethan says "Do what you must." Jayden nodded and walked up to Mordecai's crib, Jayden reached into his satchel and sprinkled angel dust on Mordecai which made him glow a variety of colors then stopped on bright red, Jayden picked up the glowing baby "The aurora of courage." Said Jayden as he waved his hand making the glowing stop and a ruby pendant appear on him it was shaped like a dragon. Jayden smiled then put Mordecai back in his crib he then looks to Ethan and Jamille and says, "The Covenant sees great power among this child. Ancient Power." But before Jamille and Ethan could say anything they heard a screech of a falcon not just any falcon Harod's Familiar Fatima. Some of the citizens screamed as the Fatima began to terrorize the citizens, an energy beam shot out Ethan's eyes missing Fatima, suddenly the Entrance doors fly open and a man he was tall, lanky, pale, had dark grey eyes, and black messy hair this was Harod he entered the room clearing a path with his fear over everyone he bowed and says, "Your majesties. Those wards were something to get through" Fatima then rested on his shoulder. Jayden summoned a crystal sword as everyone else surrounded Mordecai and got into a fighting stance "What do you want?' asked Agatha, "I heard rumors of another Lightheart Sorcerer being born so I had to come and see." Answered Harod as he tried to get closer Ethan's eyes glowed he says, "Don't take another step." Harod smiled and asks, "Tsk. Tsk. Aren't we testy today?" Harod stretched out his hand causing his ring to glow immobilizing everyone in the room but himself, Fatima, and Mordecai. Harod used his powers to clear a path to Mordecai, he walked over to the child's crib as Fatima landed on the side of it "Now what shall I do? How about I take you away from your parents. So, they'll never see you again." Said Harod he went to pick up Mordecai, but the infant's pendant glowed sending fiery waves toward Harod sending him flying as Fatima escaped the blasts, everyone was mobilized, Ethan and Jamille quickly get back to Mordecai "He's okay." Said Jamille as she comforted him, Harod rose off the ground and he had a burn mark on his face, Harod had also been weakened "You'll pay for this!" yelled Harod as he vanished in a flash of lightning Fatima then flew out a nearby window "He's strong and brave. Like his old man." Said Ethan as he checked on Mordecai and Jamille, "I must alert the Covenant." Said Jayden, "go. We're fine here. We must find Harod." Said Agatha, Jayden then exited the room.
