I FINALLY watched Frozen and it was AMAZING! Seriously. I loved every single part of it! So I started watching anime and let me just say..it ruined my life...in a good way. Any of you die hard fan girls know what I'm talking about...I get REALLY emotional when a character dies. Like oh-my-gods-they-died-what-do-I-do-with-my-life-now? kind of hysterical sobbing. Seriously. There HAS to be some kind of rehab for this! Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, Mortal Instruments, Psych, Teen Wolf (hands down the #1 show I thought I would never watch), Merlin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ascendance Trilogy...White Collar...among others...have ruined my life in a positive way. How? On an average Monday night, after swimming, you can find me procrastinating by: watching a new episode, reading fanfiction and sobbing over the fact that most books I'm currently reading end this year...UNTIL 3 AM...it wasn't like this before I met the fandoms...*sigh* :D Thanks to the following people for voting, commenting, following, etc: @loganemmajosh, @monicahunter123, @PJandKKfan, @TWMariana101, @softball662, @diangelodrama, @LadyyBugg99, @CarterKaneisthename, @777demigod, @xCrazy_Cutiex, @Dougnuts_wilderness, @Dragonwriter12, @LeoValdez122, @samthevariablex, @Best_Books_Ever, and finally, @GoldGrace!

REYNA
Reyna wasn't exactly sure how long they had traveled. Few days? Still, they had bounced around the countries in Europe, quite a lot of dusty hotels (where she had found her fair share of cockroaches) and many run-down restaurants (again, she had her share of cockroach sightings). After all that traveling, monster attacks (there were plenty, but no one got seriously hurt although Nico managed to break his ankle and she managed to sprain her wrist), and even after a few unhelpful gods and demigods, they'd made it to the tip of Europe, the closest place between Camp Half-Blood and the other side of the world.
There was a small problem, though. Between where they were standing and their destination stood a massive body of water. If Nico lost his strength midway, not only would they be deposited in the middle of nowhere, Poseidon would probably drown Nico and her and Hedge would be helpless. Reyna had suggested resting a little bit longer, maybe a day or two, but Nico had denied, saying they had to get there as quickly as possible. It was true, she knew, that they had to get there by the next day or the day after that, when her idiotic augur would probably finish preparing war against the camp.
She didn't know what was going on in Octavian's mind. They had bigger problems! The seven had gone to try to stop Gaea and her rising giants, while the three of them had tracked the opposite way to attempt to unite the camps. That way, they would become one strong mass of demigods that would eventually help to take down Gaea. Octavian was definitely making this whole 'finish Gaea an live happily ever after' plan even harder than it would've been normally. And normally, it'd be pretty hard to have a "happily ever after". Nico had suggested that maybe Octavian was secretly double crossing them, working for Gaea. At first, she'd completely denied the idea. She knew Octavian was pretty twisted and could manipulate others to do what he wanted, but he'd never assemble a team within New Rome to joint Gaea, right? Sadly, the more Reyna thought about it, the more she couldn't shake the thought out of her head. Thanks a lot, Nico.
There were a lot of pros and cons to evaluate about Octavian's situation, though. After all, why pretend to want to join New Rome, stay there for YEARS just for a battle that would take place many years later? Wouldn't it have been easier just to wait until Gaea rose to join her army. 'But...', the little voice in her head said 'Octavian couldn't show up empty handed saying he wanted serve the Earth goddess, right?' Gaea could get any seer from any time period she wanted. Octavian would've needed a plan, something that said 'I'm worthy! Choose me! Choose me!' So, what better offering than saying you've spied on half of the competition for the upcoming battle. He could've assessed their weaknesses, their strengths, their secrets, their fears and their weaknesses. If that was the case, Octavian would be a valuable asset. Gaea, she hated to say it, was smart if that was her plan and if Octavian was really on her side. Like, 'Oh, the First Cohort? Yeah, they're pretty fast but they lack good defense on their southern sides. Lea's weaknesses is her mother and James's is his little sister!'
That kind of information could definitely help you win a battle. Anger made someone sloppy, no matter how powerful. Leo was the first fire user in AGES, he was definitely strong and handy. But if you mentioned him mother, taunted him about it just enough, he got angry, and he got sloppy. Just like Nico had once told her, "Emotions get you sloppy. They get you killed. Maybe that's why I don't bother. No friends, no family, no attachments-- no emotions."
Once, Reyna had decided to speak to him about matters of the heart. She's asked him if there was a special lady somewhere out there. For the first time in forever, she saw Nico blush and smirk coldly. "No.", he'd said "No special lady for me anywhere." She thought he had mumbled something after, but she dismissed it quietly, politely saying he'd find love someday. Reyna was never a true Aphrodite girl, never fully experiencing love. Jason-- he'd left with Piper, Percy--with Annabeth. It wasn't their fault, obviously, but she'd still felt disappointed.
She was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of bones popping and crackling. Thinking it was a skeleton Nico had summoned again, she turned to tell him to quit it, that he'd need his energy for the trip in the afternoon. When she turned, she realized there was no skeleton there, just Nico, who was a skeleton in his own manner. Thin, pale and nearly looking dead, that is. When he plopped down next to Reyna, she was actually concerned Nico would end up breaking himself. Instead, as his limbs hit the floor, they crackled and popped.
"So," she said, suddenly turning to face him "are you nervous?"
He frowned and looked confused before asking her, "Why the Hades would I be nervous?"
"Well," she began "you haven't exactly been at the camp for quite a long time. Plus, the jump is pretty big. If we fall into the ocean..."
Nico frowned before shrugging and softly laying down. "What are you trying to do, Reyna? Freak me out?"
Reyna blushed before quickly shaking her head and composing herself. "No! Of course not. I'm just curious. When's the last time you've seen your friends?"
Nico stiffened before turning and curling sideways and muttering, "I don't have any friends."
Right, Reyna thought. He was kind of a loner. 'No offense, Nico' , she mentally corrected herself.
"Well, you rest you before the next jump, ok? We leave around the sunset."
As she walked away, she heard Nico mumble, "What are you, my mother? But a little nap won't hurt."
Almost instantly, she heard snoring. The poor guy must've been exhausted. She heard soft clicks behind her and she turned to face the satyr. He stopped to look at Nico as well. And almost like he was reading her mind, he heard him say assuringly, "Don't worry, Nico's a strong boy. He can take care of himself."
She nodded and nodded her head towards a secluded area away from them. It's not like she didn't want to be around them, she just wanted to take a little time to herself before relying on a friend to do the impossible, something that could possibly kill him. Something that decided the fate of her and his camp.
After all, that was what normal people did, right?
And with that ridiculously silly thought, Reyna started thinking about her future.
