REYNA

Reyna wasn't really comfortable shadow traveling across the world. For one the son of Hades was, in a word, creepy. The faun talked a lot, mostly about war and killing, which didn't help her nerves. The Athena Parthenos didn't help a lot either, 40 feet of goddess that could potentially reduce her to ash if something went wrong...she tried not to think about it. She had a role in this war. She HAD to stop the Romans and Greeks from going into battle unless she wanted Gaea to ultimately win. Once, the creepy voices stopped and she could see light, she felt relieved. She popped out of the shadows and was sent sprawling to the ground in an undiginifed way.

She saw Nico a few feet away from her, with his eyes closed and breathing hard. Hedge popped out next, muttering something about "dark cupcakes" and what not. After he let out a huge sigh, he went over and force fed, not so kindly, Nico some ambrosia, who turned over a mumbled something that sounded like 'Bianca'.

With a gruff grunt Hedge turned and said, "He'll be fine. Now, cupcake, what's the plan?"

She wasn't sure if she was relieved to be the leader or scared for the same reason.

They began to talk about strategies once they reached Camp Half-Blood. Soon, they were talking about what they would do AFTER the war, if they won and were still alive.

"I'll be going with Mellie and teach my little cupcake about war! She'll be the best satyr or nymph in centuries!" the Coach said.

Reyna didn't really know what she would do. Would she still want to be praetor of the 12th Legion? Would she join the Greeks?

She was snapped out of her thought by a voice behind her saying, "I'll travel the world. Maybe stop by the Underworld or Camp Juptier once in a while for Hazel."

She hadn't heard the son of Hades move or even sneak up behind her, but he lay down next to her and stared at the sky. She knew all demigods were troubled one way or another but she couldn't shake the feeling Nico would have it harder than all of them. Being one of Hades' children meant being alone. He had also traveled the depths of Tartarus. Percy had Annabeth and Annabeth had Percy. They supported each others weight. He carried the weight by himself. That depressing thought reminded her of herself. The praetor of New Rome, bitter and alone.

She thought of Hazel, a child of Pluto. She wasn't like Nico, though. She was happy and cheerful and had Frank. Reyna turned around and stared at the son of Hades. She didn't see how anyone could be that alone and still be happy. She told herself she would help him. She would be his friend.
