Mollie and I placed our orders at the counter of Starbucks and sat down at a table, waiting for Tim to arrive. We arrived five minutes early and Tim was ten minutes late. Mollie was staring out the window biting her nails looking very worried.

"Mollie, it'll be ok," I said. I reached across the table and grabbed hold of her hands.

"You still shouldn't have come, Char," Mollie said. Her eyes kept flickering around the Starbucks store.

"Mollie, calm down. He isn't going to hurt anyone. I won't let him, ok. You will be fine," I said.

"Is that right?" the voice came from behind me and I was out of my seat and in front of Mollie before he could move.

"Yes, Tim. It is. You are not hurting her anymore." I said looking him in the face, which was a little difficult seeing he was a half a head taller than me.

"I didn't come here to see you, Charlotte so please leave. I came to see my girlfriend," Tim said coolly.

"I'm not going anywhere and I'm certainly not leaving you alone with her," I retorted. "If you've got something to say to Mollie, you've gotta say it while I'm here or else we are leaving."
