*Jack POV*

I had my head laying on Mark's desk as he worked on his math notes, my eyes closed despite the fact that I wanted to stay awake to help Mark with his work. I yawned before realizing that Mark had stopped writing. I opened my eyes halfway and looked up at him drowsily, noticing that he was staring at something. I turned to look at what he was staring at, my eyes widening when I realized he was staring at a Stephanie Patel. I looked back at Mark, who had turned his attention back to his notes. "Mark, why were you staring at her?"

He shrugged, yet continued to write. I glared at him. "Do I need to wreak some havoc just for you tell me?"

He glanced up at me, a look of worry on his face. He then pulled out a sticky note and jotted something down on it before pushing it towards me. "I'll tell you when we get back to the dorm."

I huffed and sat down on the ground as I crossed my arms. "Fine, but have fun with the rest of class. Because I'm taking a nap."

I was still a little salty when we got back to the dorm. I didn't understand why Mark couldn't just tell me. I was his best, if not his only friend, so why wouldn't he tell me? "Alright," I snapped as Mark set down his backpack. "Why were you making googly eyes at Stephanie?"

Mark sighed. "I was thinking about asking her out."

I glared at him. "Really?"

"Yeah, but I need help."

"With what?"

Mark looked over at me, a pleading look on his face. "Can you help me ask her out?"

I scoffed."What?" Mark asked.

"I died when I was sixteen Mark, I have no idea how to date someone, nonetheless ask a person out."

Mark gave me a skeptical look. "Really Jack? You've gotta know something about dating. Besides, how hard can it be?"

"If it isn't that hard, why don't you go ask her?" I asked as I got up in his face, feeling slightly aggravated.

"Because I'm scared," Mark snapped in defence.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, pulling back as I tried to organize my thoughts. "I'm sorry. I guess I'm just worried that if I help you get a date, you'll forget about me and I'll lose the only friend I have."

Neither of us did anything for a moment, until Mark pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry too. I promise that I won't forget about you, seeing as you're my only friend as well."

I buried my face into his shoulder, willing myself to not cry. Mark gently pulled away. "Maybe we can think of something together, even if our ideas really dumb."

I nodded, a small smile tugging at my lips as Mark guided me over to his bed. "Okay" Mark started, "any ideas?"

"Umm." I tapped my chin in thought. "Flowers?"

"Flowers?"

"Yeah. Girls like flowers right?"

Mark scratched the back of his neck. "I guess so. But I think those should be saved for the actual date, not asking her out."

I nodded. "True. So um... what you asked her like, what she likes to eat? Then you could take her to dinner or something."

Mark's eyes widened. "That's a great idea! So I, er... how would I ask her out though?"

"Uhh."

We were both stuck at that point. "Strike up a conversation with her, ask her how her day is going, then ask if she would like to go to dinner, and go from there?"

Mark gave me a wide-eyed frantic look. "I-I don't know if I can do it."

"Of course you can, Mark. I believe in you."

He nodded. "Thank you Jack."

I smiled and gave him a hug. "No problem, let's just hope that this goes smoothly."

"Yeah."

We both went silent. Mark finally slapped his legs and stood up. "You wanna play some video games? Today has been kind of stressful."

I shrugged. "Sounds good to me."

Mark gently shook me awake the next morning. "Hey, you ready to go?"

I groaned and gently pushed myself upright. "Playing video games until three in the morning was a mistake," I grumbled.

Mark chuckled and gently pushed me back down onto the bed. "How about you just stay here for today?"

I nodded drearily before stuffing my face back into a pillow that I was using. Mark gently ruffled my green hair. "Okay, I'll see you later."

I lifted my head a little bit. "Okay, bye Mark."

"Bye."

I listened to the door close before laying back down and closing my eyes, soon after falling back asleep.
