*Jack POV*
"Why is this happening now?" I whimper. "I finally found someone I like-someone I LOVE!"
I look up at Mark, who had started to walk around the dorm as he calls for me. "Why now?" I say I sobs rack my body and I bury my face into my knees.
"Jack! This isn't funny anymore!" Mark yells.
"But I'm right here," I whisper, my voice laced with hopelessness.
Mark suddenly stops and looks around the room. "Jack?" he breathes.
I open my eyes and I stand up. "Mark?"
He looks around the room for a little but before shaking his head, like he was dismissing a strange thought. I cautiously move towards him and lift my hand, then trying to put it on his shoulder, watching as he shivers as my hand passes through him. "What the heck?" he mumbles. "It's like 70 degrees in here."
My eyes widen as I look at my hands, then looking back up at Mark and put my hands on his shoulders. He once again shivers as my hands pass through him. Mark growls and trudges into his room to grab a jacket, then stomping back into the living room and flopping down on the couch. Involuntarily, I sit down next to him and attempt to touch his cheek, knowing fully well that I'd pass through him. I let out a breathy laugh as Mark's neck constricts and he pulls up the collar of his jacket. Without fully knowing what I was doing, I stood so I was eye level with him. I then leaned forward, and touched my lips to his. Mark gasps and he sits back in his seat, his eyes as wide as saucers. I continue to stay in my position as Mark's eyes dart around the room. "Jack?" he whispers.
I begin to smile as he sits forward again. "Jack," he says slowly, "if that really is you, do whatever you did again."
I grin before leaning forward and connecting my lips with his again. Mark shivers as he closes his eyes and leans back. "It feels... fuzzy, but also, really, really cold."
I watch him silently as he opens up his eyes and stares in my direction, making it seem like he's looking right into my eyes. "Jack, I love you so much. And I want to you back."
I wince in pain as my head begins to ache like crazy. I sit back on my butt as I apply pressure to my temples with the palms of my hands. Slowly but surely, the pain leaves, and I look up at Mark. He remains on the couch, looking around the room with curiosity. After a moment with silence, his shoulders slump, obviously disappointed. My breathing accelerates as I scramble to my feet and squat in front of him again. "No, no no no, say it again Mark, please! Just say it again!"
I hurriedly press my lips to his, then sitting back and watching him. Mark shivers again and looks around in confusion. "Jack?"
My eyes widen as I wait expectantly. Mark sighs and sits back as he rubs his eyes. "I love you."
Once again, a splitting pain shoots through my head. I lay down and press my forehead to the ground as I clench my eyes shut. "I love you too, Mark," I bleat.
The pain once again goes away, quicker this time. I do and saw nothing as I listen to the silence. To my surprise, I feel two arms wrap around me, and I let out a weak gasp. Mark pulls me into his lap and buries his face into the crook of my neck, beginning to sob uncontrollably. I too, begin to cry, and lean my head against his, tightly wrapping my arms around his torso. Mark pulls back and puts his hands on both sides of my face, then smashing his lips against mine. At first, the kiss was rough, but it soon became gentle, and passionate. I lean my forehead against his as I take in a large breath of air. "I'm so glad you're back," Mark says, his lips brushing against mine as he speaks. "But what happened? Why'd you disappear?"
