The five guys had only an hour left of detention and decided to just stay quiet after their little session. So many different stories with faces that didn't belong to them. Maybe it was true not to judge a book by its cover or you'll be very surprised by the result. None of them knew the other personally but seemed to only know their face without the background story; until today. Not everything about one's life was said but enough was heard.

They didn't have much in common but one thing, loneliness. Everyone in the room was lonely in their own way with their own life and not all showed it. Louis smiled his way through the pain, Zayn through sex, Liam through music, Niall through his art, and Justin through shopping.

Nobody knew but them and nobody asked. Though bad history and memories were made that day, one outcome was good.

Friendship.

No one were friends yet but there was definitely something near it. It wasn't trust nor loyalty. It was the act of someone listening to them, whether it was random strangers or people whom they never talked to. It felt nice to get things off their chest and have others relate to what they were going through. Even if every situation was different.

But now it was near a quarter to six and the library room seemed like an aftermath of a therapy session. People sat in their chairs thinking blankly back to the past while others tried to forget it.

Justin and Zayn still sat next to each other without speaking and for some reason, it didn't feel weird. As their shoulders nearly touched the other's and legs less than inches away, the feeling between them felt warm and friendly. They hadn't argued again and didn't plan to. Each in their own mind pondering about their past and what could've been done to make their life different.

Meanwhile, Liam and Louis sat close to each other with Louis ranting on about his life and Liam murmuring his thoughts back to the feather haired guy.

Niall sat in the back by himself with balled fists that turned white every few seconds. He was mad for sure but not at anyone in that room. He was mad at the guy who caused him hell all these years. After hearing everyone speak up about their lives, he felt angry; no, he felt pissed at the world for creating such bad parents to raise seemingly decent children and ruining their lives. What type of creature doesn't love what they create with all their heart but instead kicks them to the curb after arrival into the world.

With a heavy groan, Niall punched the old maroon colored table in front of him as it squeaked loudly. It was enough for the rest of the teens to turn around and stare at the guy in confusion and fear.

"Are you okay?" Justin politely asked trying not to provoke the blonde any more than he already was.

Niall didn't respond as he blankly stood up and strived to the door, only to be stopped by the assistant principal entering the room.

"Woah, where do you think you're going?" He sarcastically asked.

"Get out out of my way." A deep, gruff voice left from Niall. He was fuming and turning red with every second as if he was a ticking time bomb.

"You're not going anywhere. You have fifteen minutes left so I advise you to sit your ass do-"

And before the important authority figure was able to finish his sentence, a flying fist hit him in the jawbone. His hand quickly went to comfort the now swelling body part as he was grabbed by Zayn and Niall by Justin.

"You're in so much fucking trouble, Horan! All of you are!" And just like that, he shoved Zayn away before leaving the room then the buidling.

No one knew how to react but a loud cackle came from the middle of the room as Louis sat laughing at the scene. It wasn't funny but Louis believed everything was funny.

As Justin let the mad man go, Niall quickly left the room like the man before and went home. It was a sign that it was time to leave, even if it was on a bad note, it was seven pm now.

Though nobody knew what was to come on Monday or what the assistant principal meant by his saying, but they knew something evil was to come when school was back in session because of Niall. And maybe Niall was expelled the very next day and everyone else had hours of detention for the next two weeks but only time would tell.
