-A Decitefull Breakfast-
-Jack's pov-
I awoke and took a deep breath. I immediately smiled at the realization that Mark was snuggled up against my chest lazily. His unkept lawn of messy red hair sticked up at all directions.
I yawned quietly and lazily stretched Care full not to awake Mark. Instead I carefully moved placing a pillow under his head. The red haired boy didn't even flinch. I loved the fact that he was a heavy sleeper. Seeing as we didn't have class today I decided to make breakfast. Or at least try too.
Memories flooded back of all those times I would be trying to wake up early before my ma and make her breakfast. The aroma of burnt egg and coffee would soon fill the house as my mom would wake up to find a messy burnt plate of eggs and pancakes if you could even call them that.
She would wipe the batter of my face and roll her eyes.
I began to crack the eggs and cook them. I did my best not to burn them. But as my other would say, nothing shows the love I'm cooking than the mistake.
And oh boi was I full of them, In cooking and in real life!
After making breakfast and serving some for myself and Mark I decided I should wake him up.
I walked into the room to find his phone buzzing.
Now, before you say anything I ain't no snooper. Growing up in a packed Irish home I valued privacy. I am a firm believer of whatever someone has on their phone is their fucking business.
I checked his phone think it would be a text from Felix or Max reminding him he didn't have a class today as Mark was forgetful of that sort of thing.
I saw that he had texts from a number not on his contacts. I unlocked his phone hoping it was just a spam number or someone who got the wrong number.
The first couple texts caught my attention.
:Mark, are you busy today?
:I was hoping we could hang out and talk again.
:C'mon. Are date the other day at the coffee shop was short....
I then scrolled up to see a couple on going conversations between them. His name was Daniel Marcus....
Mark stirred and Imediatly set the phone back.
"Hey babe." Mark sleepy said.
"Hey" I said forcing out a smile.
Mark leaned up and placed a kiss on his lips and I reluctantly kissed back.
"I made breakfast. We should go eat before it gets cold." I suggested.
I walked into the restroom to wash my hands.
My heart fell as if it had just dropped. Who is Daniel? Why is Mark talking to him? Is he cheating on me.
I had to stop thinking. I was gonna spiral myself into a panic attack. That would be hard to explain to Mark.
I walked back out to my small kitchen to find Mark sitting at the table eating.
I sat down with him and we began to scarf down our food in silence."Mark, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure babe." Mark said taking a sip from his coffee afterwards.
"Who is Daniel?"
I watched as all the color drained from Mark's face with wasn't a good sign.
"Hmmmm. I gotta think. I-I know a couple Daniels..." Mark struggled to say.
"Oh I'm just saying cause I think you got a text from someone named Daniel."
At this point al I wanted was for Mark to say that he was a friend. When deep in my heart I knew he wasn't.
"Oh. Its just a friend from a class. He is pretty chill." Mark still said in a nervous tone.
I let out a sigh of relief mentally. Knowing completely that I could trust Mark. I mean, I can right? Mark has been kinda distant lately. He acts like he is always guilty of something.
What if he-
What if he is cheating....
I shook that thought quickly out of my head.
No way. Mark could never cheat. He wouldn't. I repeated In my head. It would explain his recent actions, but my Mark is innocent. He could barely speak to me when we first met. How would he even cheat on me?
I sat making conversation with Mark as if it were every day. When in reality I was analyzing him and our relations ship.
- Mark's pov-
I wasn't sure what to make out of Jack's question at first. I felt caught like a deer in headlights. I was scared. I was petrified. Petredifed that Jack would want to meet Daniel for some reason. That Danile would spew lies. Or even the truth. I didn't even know myself theses days.....
Instead Jack dropped the subject thankfully.
After the peaceful breakfast we decided we would go out for more coffee. It was typical Jack really.
"You have your morning coffee at home, then your after morning coffee usually from another place. It's encouraged to have a third cup if necessary when trying to get through life's bull shit." He would often say.
We walked hand In hand to the Starbucks near by campus.
And guess who fucking decided to walk across the street the same time we did. Daniel. Cause life decided I had it to easy.
I slowly speed up our walk across the street hoping Jack wouldnt notice.
But what Jack did notice was Daniel's grin at me. I could see he did. Jack continued to act oblivious. I looked away from Daniels grin and felt Jack's grip on my hand tighten.
