"You're an idiot." Nico said as we all climbed into the car. He was still laughing from the lame attempts at jokes I made. Angela's arms wrapped around my waist as she walked beside me. I chuckled a bit as rolled her eyes.

"But it's true. I've done my research and if you pay close enough attention all Hawaiian shirts have pineapples on them but Hawaiian pineapples don't wear shirts." I repeated earning a few awkward glances from those around us. "So where are we headed now?" I asked looking down at Angela whose smile grew a bit brighter.

"We're going to meet our parents." Ciara spoke up from the backseat. Her and Nico took the backseat Angela and I of course took the front seats. We backed out the parking lot with my fingers laced with Angela's. "There's nothing to be afraid of Dom. It's council regulation any vampires turned by us in this town our parents have to make sure they're not a risk to our secrecy." She explained as I drove.

"So if they don't approve they kill me. Well re-kill me." I sighed faintly as we came to a stop out side of their manor. "This sounds like a setup." I mumbled before Angela pushed my head to the side.

"Why set you when we could have killed you ourselves." She placed her fingers against the dimples that formed when she smirked. I felt my lips stretch into a grin as Nico and I climbed out her shut the door before pausing to speak.

"Once we get inside answer all of their questions straight forward and none of that sarcasm shit. Straightforward answers, got it?" He asked before I nodded quickly. We seemed to be moving in sync as we opened the doors and the girls climbed out. I took Angela's hand in mine as Nico took Ciara's. I paused for a moment as inhaled my nose catching two new scents, which I assumed, had to be their parents. "Mummy and Daddy are already here." He said with a bit more enthusiasm then I expected.

"Yes we are." An unfamiliar voice caught me off guard. I turned quickly, which would have given any normal human whiplash. "This must be young Dominic." It sounded again but this time more distinct as if the voice it's self-radiated with power A mans voice I finally came to the conclusion.

"Daddy!" Angela ran to the man who stood on the top stair of the entryway. Her arms around him as she kissed his cheek. He seemed to be a pain in his late twenties to early thirties, with an angular face similar to Nico's. His hair was a coffee brown much like Angela’s but with blonde streaks running through it. His eyes weren't almond shape no close more rounded and dark. He wore a black suit with a burgundy dress shirt underneath. I smiled to him as Angela skipped down the steps to come and stand beside me. He stuck his hand to shake mine. I gripped his hand in mine and shook before he pulled his hand back shaking it a bit. "Dominic this is my father, Alfred VanHalen. Daddy this is Dominic Miller." She said as His eyes locked with mine. He placed his index finger to my forehead. Our minds connected and it seemed as if he was judging me.

"He's not a threat to us but it's best he learns to control that thirst of his before tonight." He said and I nodded. "Come inside I'd like for you to meet my wife." He turned on his heel as we turned to walk up the stairs.

"Our father has the ability to judge one's soul based on their moral actions and their past. That’s what earned him a place on the Council." Nico whispered to me as we walked I nodded as we made our way up the stairs and in to the kitchen. "Mother!" He ran to hug her as she turned. I chuckled a bit as Angela broke from my side to hug her as well.

"Mummy, come, come!" Angela was overly excited as she drug her mother behind her to come meet me. "Dom, this is my Mother Lucile VanHalen. Mum this is Dominic Miller." She said as her mother shook my hand. I held back on the strength I put into my grip and smiled. Her and Angela smiled at me and I chuckled. They looked almost like twins except you could tell that Lucile was older she appeared to be about the same age as her husband give our take a few years with curly brown hair that framed her heart shaped face. Her eyes were like her daughter's almond shape and the same reddish brown color.

"It's a pleasure to meet you dom." she said before giving me a soft hug and went back into the kitchen. I chuckled as she walked away Angela stood in front of me. "Oh and Dom you might want to answer your phone." she added and as if on cue my phone rang. I narrowed my eyebrows before answering it.

"Hello?" I listened as I recognized a few guys from the team. "Ok, Ok I’ll be there in a few." I sighed and hung up. " I hate to have to leave so soon but I have to finish setting up for my party tonight. I'll be back this evening." I said to Angela who stood on the tips of her toes to give me a quick kiss. "I'll see you tonight." I mumbled against her lips before smiling. She stepped back.

"Of course you will." she said before I turned to walk towards the front door. She locked the door once I was out. I quickly ran to my car and climbed in. Moments later I was speeding down the road.
