It's been a few days since the night of my party and tensions couldn't be any higher. I laid next to Angela in her bed in the VanHalen manor. At her request I'd stayed the last few nights, which to her meant she could rest a little easier. I smiled down at the brown hair girl that laid nestled up against my side. The only light in the room came from the moonlight that had made its way in-between the curtains, casting everything in its path in a silvery light. My mind pondered about the day’s events as I heard shuffling coming from the three doors down. Nico and Ciara were awake. I looked at my phone and sighed. Only waning ours into the early morning and I hadn't fallen asleep.

"Dom what are you thinking about?" Angela asked as she moved to lay over top of me. She folded her arms across my chest and I smiled turning my head so I was looking at her.

"Nothing Angie. I'm just to overwhelmed to sleep." I felt her move to take my arms and pin them by my head before sitting up and straddling my hips. I chuckled as she looked down at me. The fierce coloration of her red eyes contrasted against her pale skin, making them stand out even more. She leaned down until our noses touched before shaking her head back and forth in an Eskimo kiss. I kissed her softly as I leaned forward she pulled back and smirked.

"No." She said as I tried to kiss her again only making me furrow my brow. "Come on. My throat is burning and I think we both need to go hunt." She added before rolling off of me and stood. She was dressed in a matter of seconds in black leather pants and a purple tank top. I swung my legs over the bed and stood before slipping my shoes on. I was dressed in a pair of black baggy cargo sweats and a white tank top.

"Come on.” I smiled before walking towards the balcony and looked out into the forest. The crisp autumn air danced over my bare arms and face as I stood on the porch. I crouched before feeling the muscles in my leg tighten. I sprung my self off of the porch and onto the ground my bare feet relaxed against the cool compact dirt of the forest floor. Angela followed behind me with my sneakers in her hand and chuckled. "Thank you." I whispered before she took off running, dodging low hanging branches and avoiding running straight into a tree. We came to a clearing when movement against the dark of the forest background caught my attention. The scent that next filled my nose was one I wasn't to familiar with but when I heard its groan I knew what it was.

"Bear." She whispered as it came into the clearing and we froze. The bear inspected us before turning to walk away and I smirked. The next thing that had happened the bear was laying under my weight me as my teeth sank into its neck. Angela smirked before walking towards me. "The more carnivorous animals smell more appealing than deer." I pulled away from the bear, not completely draining it. Her teeth sank into the bears flesh with a sloshing sound. I wiped my lips as she fed and my eyes dimmed from the bright orange to a moderate glow. I placed my hand against the rosary that I wore. The cooling metal against my skin.

"What did Ciara mean when she gave me this. It'll help me learn of my other Vampiric Abilities?" I asked as She pulled back before tossing the body else where into the forest.

"As you know all vampires are gifted with what humans would call a superhuman physiology. The strength, speed, durability, healing, senses, reflexes, flexibility. All of that good stuff." I nodded and she continued. "And then those of us that have enhanced traits from our human lives. Your strength, speed, durability. My brother's speed, my seductive nature and Ciara's mind reading. " I smiled as she walked away wiggling her hips teasingly with a soft giggle. "Well vampires are gifted with more than that. They're physical appearance is enhanced tremendously making us almost angelic in appearance which allows us to draw our prey in or unsuspecting humans. We all have a hypnotic sense that allows us to make those who are unaware bend to our will. We all have some type of telekinetic ability which allows us to make things move or to stop things with our minds." She smiled before she held her hand out. A rock levitated off the ground and she threw it towards me. I raised my hands to stop it and it did just that. "But with all the gifts and power that we have we are still so vulnerable to our emotions. After our transformation our emotions are a lot more unstable, seeing as the little things can set us off." She stepped towards me before taking my hand and placed it to her cheek. "Our feelings of admiration, love, anger, sadness, rage. All of that is amplified." She said. "Say if something were to happen to you I wouldn't be able to cope. I'd spend everyday plotting my revenge on the person that harmed you." Her soft skin now felt warm against mine. "And vice versa." I tilted her head upward and kissed her softly as we stood in the clearing. "Dominic, I think I love you." She said it so casually and with so much confidence I couldn't help but feel my lips stretch into a grin.

"I love you too, Angela." I felt her lips collide against mine again.  A rush was sent through out my body as we stood there. I pulled back after a few minutes and looked down at her.

"Let's go home." She whispered against my lips. I nodded as we turned to walk our bodies faded into the shadows of the forest. Two children of the night.
