Cravings

"Wake up Joe"She whispered as she sat on the bed, on her knees, shaking her boyfriend from his deep slumber.

"Go to sleep Bay, your not making me go out in this cold to get you some kind of food you're craving"He mumbled snuggling into the pillows more.

"Joe!"She groaned, "It's your baby too, so you better get out of this bed and get me two beef big Macs"She said with a loud voice and a frown on her face.

"What?"He asked in surprise, he turned his head to look at her with one eye open, "But you don't eat beef, you don't like it. I've never eaten beef since I've started dating you or something"He said in a daze.

"Don't be dramatic, it's just been two years. We've been dating for 5"She said rolling her eyes, "Plus, what would you know about cravings, now get up before your kid gets a birthmark of a burger on his back the size of a Big Mac"She said and he laughed sitting up.

"What the hell Bay, I'm too tired and it's too cold. Don't you feel sorry for me catching a cold or something?"He said with a pout.

"Wear something warm, take the car, I don't know Joe! I feel like this kid of ours is suffocating me and maybe if I give him what he wants he'll quiet down and let me sleep"She said with a sigh, she tucked a hair behind her ear, her pregnancy hormones getting the best out of her as her eyes moistened.

"Oh baby, come here"He said and she came over to him, he smiled sadly hugging her tightly as she cried, knowing that it was just her pregnancy causing her to be this emotional.
"Okay I'll go get us some McDonald's and I'll be back in minutes"He said kissing her forehead, she nodded with a smile.

"Thank you Joe, I love you honey"She told him pressing their foreheads together.

"I love you too Bay"He said pecking her lips, they smiled pulling away, she wore her fuzzy robe and slippers and went to the kitchen as she knew that she wouldn't go to sleep without Joe in bed with her.

She got a glass of water and downed a bit of it, she sat on the couch in their living room, she saw the pictures of the ultrasound, she smiled and picked them up, her baby bump causing a bit of a problem but she got them, she looked at them for a while before letting a yawn, she saw that it had been 10 minutes since Joe had left, she laid on the couch and a few seconds later she was knocked out.

"Babe?"He entered the apartment and called for her name, when he didn't get any response he placed the boxes of food on the counter between the living room and kitchen, he threw his keys beside them and went to their room and saw she wasn't there, he didn't notice the tiny body curled around itself with a huge baby bump sleeping on the couch because he could just see the back of the couch, he went to check out the living room and saw her sleeping, he kept his hands on his hips with a smile, "So you wake me up and go to sleep? No way babe no way"He said to himself. He touched her shoulder and she instantly woke up.

"Joe?"She asked looking to his hands to before looking up at him.

"C'mon let's eat and go back to sleep"He said helping her sit up.

"You got beef?"She asked and he nodded.

"Beef big mac, two slices of pickles, no Mayo, extra cheese and fries"He said proudly, to have everything as instructed.

"Thank you baby"She said as she stood on her tiptoes to hug him.

"I love you babe, you're carrying my baby in your insides, I owe you my life"He whispered, hugging her back.

"Ours"She said and he nodded, "Look what I found"She said pulling away as she picked up the pictures from the couch and showing him the black and white blurry shape that was their kid.

"We made that Bay"He whispered as he hugged her to his side, as they held the picture.

"I love you"

Okay so I noticed that I've been updating more on this book than my other books, I don't know why but I'm feeling the urge to write here more on my other books😂🤦🏽‍♀️.
