Haunting the same bar he always did, he figured he would just drink away his frustration.
He had lost all trace of the vampire. She had disappeared as quickly as he had found her. Perhaps she had grown weary of him and left.
Vampires were smart, but he was smarter, training his whole life, experienced in immortal creature hunting.
It had been easy to lure the lonely vampire into a courtship, however disgusting it was for him, as long as he reached his goal, killing her and her vampire companion.
The bartender placed another cold beer on the counter in front of him.
He burped loudly, downing the seventh beer quickly, he figured it was time to leave. He had been here long enough, and she would be waiting for him.
The nights were growing cooler, the air refreshing as he walked to his vehicle, somewhat sobering him up.
He drove home carefully, not wanting to attract too much attention.
He pulled into the gates of the great manor where he was living temporarily. The owners had conveniently been on holiday for some time.
He pulled into the drive, parking crooked and walked into the manor, not bothering with the door.
"Where the hell have you been?!" The blonde, slender witch was coming down the large grand staircase, glaring at him.
"Drowning my losses." He looked up at her and smirked and then collapsed onto the silk sofa.
"Pathetic, useless human being!" Deega shouted at him. "You lost both of the vampires didn't you!?" She shouted.
Gavin covered his ears, her voice was shrill and his head was starting to pound.
"Why must I do everything! How would you like if I doubled your debt!?" Walking over to him, she kicked the couch where he lay as he groaned and held his hands over his ears.
Gavin laughed. "You need me. No one can track and kill immortals for you like I can. What is your obsession with these two anyway?" Gavin drawled on.
"Drunkard! The female leads us to an even greater prize, and your last kill." She said.
Gavin sat up.
"My last kill?" he repeated.
Deeged smirked an evil smirk at him.
"Yes, this vampire, and the Lycan that she is currently residing with." the witch said.
Lycan. He hadn't seen a Lycan in years. Most of them had moved underground and had become harder to track. His speciality was of course vampires, but Lycans were not so different.
He suddenly reached out and grabbed the witch by the throat, squeezing.
"Don't tease me witch! What is your game! Why is this Lycan so important to you? Why are you willing to advance my debt to make him my last?" He demanded of her.
She smirked again, unphased by his bout of drunken anger.
"That is none of your concern. Your only concern should be the capture and death of both of them." she responded cryptically.
Now it was his turn to smirk.
"Consider it done." he told her.
The witch smirked for the last time. "Then in that case, I shall give you a small reward."
Gavin stared as she performed her usual trick. Her face changed, her body changed, naked and bare in front of him.
"Erin" He whispered.
He buried himself in her.
