As I boarded the bus I noticed that it was all guys and not a single girl. I began to regret my decision. I knew I was tough and I could get through this. Everyone was staring at me as I walked to the back of the bus. I sat down. I put in my ear buds making sure the night before to charge my phone and ipod completely.

"You look like your lost little girl. Haha. Why do you think you can join? You won't last a day of training. Oh by the way I go by the name Crash. But my real name is Ricky. Never call me Ricky!"

I was starting to get mad. This guy didn't know a single fact about me and he thought he would talk shit. I can show him who I am. I punched him in the face.

"First off "Crash" I'm not a little girl. Secondly thats for thinking I won't last a day at camp. And third if I call you Ricky I call you Ricky you have no say in what the hell I call you. You don't scare me. I can do what you can. I am just a different gender. Gotta problem with that?!"

He looked like he was scared of me already. He held his face from where I punched him. He looked down and I noticed I gave him a busted lip. I chuckled a bit. Ricky looked at me like he wanted to end me but knew that Captain would be pissed if he touched me. He looks like he has taken a few beatings here and there.

"Thanks I needed that! You know welcome. I've never met a girl that is strong enough to bust my lip and stick up for themselves. Most of them cry all the time. What's your name tough stuff?"

I laughed a bit and nodded at him.

"My name is Emma. And you would think not only me would try to beat your ass. You don't scare me at all. It just means all the other girls are whimps. Trust me I know my weak from my strong. You my friend are in the middle but when it comes to girls. You are a total weak. You need to learn how to talk to a girl properly and I will be willing to teach you how because if you try to talk to me or another girl like that again. Be ready to be punched in the face again."

He looked at me with wide eyes. I laughed then he began to laugh with me. I got the whole bus laughing. I think he doesn't believe me at the way he was now looking at me. How was I gonna convince him that I was being serious. This guy was pretty cool even though I have known him for such a little period of time. I wanted to get to know him better. Maybe camp would bring us closer together hopefully.

"So why did you decide to join?" I asked Crash.

"My parents always told me that I gotta live for my dreams. I don't know what it was but ever since I was a little boy I've always wanted to be a soldier. I didn't want to join for another year or two but I started to get in fights with people back at home. My parents said that they thought that making me join now maybe I would learn some behavior and how to control my anger. What about you?"

I stumbled to talk because I was scared that whatever my parents were hiding would be revealed if I said anything. He gave a little grunt and I couldn't hold back any longer.

" I joined because my dad use to me a Army soldier. He told me just yesterday that he was a soldier when I found the gun and badge that I have with me now. I wanted to get away from everyone in my family. We were having problems so I joined. I joined without my parents knowing. To be honest I just joined this morning I'm lucky they accepted. So yea..."
