Chapter 11: She's Gone

Max's P.O.V ~

I woke up around 10:30 still mad about seeing Emma find my stuff in my bag. She had no right to do that. Besides that I was hungry. As I began to walk out of the room I noticed a letter stuck to the door with gum. I grabbed it and began to read.

"Abbie wake up! Our daughter, she's gone. Emma left this letter on the door with her gum. I wonder where she is going. I'm gonna go get some food out of my bag I'm starving. I'll let you read this. Are you hungry?"

Abbie looked like she could tear up the universe at this moment. She started to form tears in her eyes as I walked out of the room. I went to my bag and noticed that half my clothes were sitting on the floor. Oh no where was that badge and gun at. I searched my whole bag looking for it. Gone.

" Bri! Courtney! Get up now!!" I was so pissed right now. How could she take my gun and my badge. How could she leave without saying and tell us not to come looking for her.

Bri and Courtney walked out of the room rubbing their eyes. Bri had a letter in her hand. They were both so  confused and had so many questions they wanted answers to.

"Did Emma leave? She wouldn't have left us.. we were everything she needed and the last thing she heard from me was that I hated her. " Bri was starting to get mad. She ripped up the letter and hit the wall.

Courtney tried to stop Bri. At this exact moment I remember my parents telling me that this is how my youngest sister got when she found out I left without a trace. I wanted to give them a hug and tell them everything was gonna be alright. My life was beginning to fall apart. Moving every 6 months, new names, new identities, and everybody after us.

"I'm sorry guys. This is all my fault.. I was the one that made her go. She saw stuff in my suitcase and she asked about it. She seemed to be super curious about it. I guess she wanted to do it on her own. Try herself. I just know that we can't go after her because she's already gone. She's gonna be to far now."

Courtney and Bri started to cry. Abbie came out of the bedroom crying also and came and hugged me. I felt so bad that I was the one that caused this. Maybe she met Jacob and Donny. Just maybe she will come back soon.
