" Who are they? What's going on? Why can't you tell me ANYTHING?!"
I was freaking out as my parents talked in code. The codes were always different from the last time we moved. "All you need to know is that if you don't get your butt moving we might be in danger." My dad looked worried and my mom was ready to cry. I was frightened from the word that my dad had just said. The word 'danger' repeatedly playing in my head. I got up and ran upstairs to my room. I packed as much as I could. Pictures, clothes, my favorite blanket, and pinky my favorite stuffed pig." Bri! Courtney! come in here I wanna see what you guys packed."
Courtney and Bri walked in to my room with their cheeks stained with tears and their jammed packed suitcases.
" I made sure to pack my clothes, toothbrush, and Mr. Wiggles" squealed Bri.
Courtney seemed pissed to be moving again as all she said was "same."
"Come on guys seem happy. Jump around, smile a bit, and forget that we won't be in this house anymore"
I tried to seem happy but they could see right through the lies that I was trying to feed them at this giving moment.
" Kids let's goooo we have 15 minutes till they show up so we have to change the licence plates and hit the road!"
"The licence plates??" All three of us kids said at once.
My mom gave us a glare and walked off while talking.
"There is no time to be asking questions right now like your father told you we need to hurry before we get in trouble. Our lives may be at risk leaving this late with only 15 minutes left but that's the chance that me and your father have decided."
I looked at my mom as my eyes were filled with questions that I knew neither of my parents were ready to answer. I ran to the van as fast as I could and packed mine and my sisters stuff as they got into the back seat. I got in the back with them and waited till my parents got in. They started the van and pulled out of the driveway.
