I was awoken by the bright sun peaking out of the curtains. I actually loved the sun. It was warm and bright, something that I had lacked. I'm not calling myself depressed or anything, but I just couldn't seem to be happy and bright every day. Well, that's quite impossible, but what I mean is, some people can have the worst days of their life and still smile. I'm truly inspired by those people. Meanwhile, I get a paper cut and my day is all of a sudden ruined. I just wanted to be able to smile through the paper cuts in my life, maybe then I wouldn't be as secluded and maybe more people would like me.

I laid in bed and slightly smiled, feeling the sun's warm rays hitting my face.

Friday. It's fucking Friday.

I jumped up at the thought and threw on some blue jeans and a crop top that I never wore because it showed off my stomach, although it was the only one I had owned.

I quickly brushed my hair and teeth and checked my time.

9:30 am.

Fuck. I was extremely late for work.

I ran out of the apartment and I decided running down the stairs would be quicker than the elevator.

When I got down, I bumped into someone, falling back and hitting my back and head on the wall.

"Fuck!" I shouted in pain.

"Oh god. Um. Sorry." I heard the familiar voice.

I grabbed my head and looked up, seeing Ashton looking down at me, a worried expression on his face.

"It's fine. I just need a moment." I said, gasping for air from running down the stairs and getting the wind knocked out of me combined.

"Oh. Not to sound rude, but may I ask why you're in such a rush?" He said, now holding his shoulder.

"Oh I'm so sorry is your shoulder alright?" I asked, just now noticing.

"I'm fine." He bluntly said.

"Good.. but uh I'm late for work. Very late." I said, getting up and dusting my pants off.

"Oh.. well, since we're headed the same way, we could maybe walk together?" He said.

"Yeah sure." I began walking towards the door.

"Ashton, right?" I asked, not wanting to sound like a creep.

He nodded.

"How long have you lived here?" I wondered.

He shrugged.

I felt like he didn't want to talk, so I quit talking.

After a while, we reached the coffee shop.

"Thanks for walking me. You can have your coffee free today for basically knocking me out." I laughed.

He let out a small smile, showing off his deep dimples.

Oh god.

The dimples.

"Thanks." He replied.

"I'm gonna be in tons of trouble." I sighed.

"Yeah, probably." He replied.

In all of my 6 years here, this was the first time it had happened.

I walked in and immediately saw Luke and Macy alone working a full house.
