It was late, and we were still playing board games while the TV buzzed in the background. We moved on to monopoly since George kept winning at the card game, I kept explaining that I wasn't as immature as him but he'd just laugh.

"HA, you landed on my property!" I exclaimed as stuck out my hand, waiting to collect the money. I already had 2 houses on the property, which added up to be about $300.

"BITCH, FUCK." He threw his head back as I frowned at him.

"Don't call me that. I'm still not comfortable with the way you speak." I grabbed the needed amount from his pile of money and rolled the dice.

"Oh man, LIGHTEN UP. It's just a joke, like a nickname or something." He glanced at the dice and moved my piece for me.

"It's offensive, that's what it is." I kept my frown and handed him the dice. I could see him glance up at me before he rolled the dice.

"Why are you so.. what's the word.. uptight? I guess?" He moved his piece and handed me the dice. I blinked at him and slowly inhaled through my nose, trying to control my next words. He stared back, the corner of his mouth slightly turning upwards. "Tryna keep your anger in, I got it." He chuckled and waited for my turn to end. Once I rolled the dice, I punched him in the shoulder. He laughed and shifted to the side as I moved my piece and checked my phone.

Darn, it's really late.

"Hey, it's really late. When do you plan on leaving?"

"Uhh, soon I guess." He rolled the dice, moved his piece, and paid for the space he landed on.

"Would you mind if I crashed the night here?" He looked up while shuffling through his property cards.

"Um, yes I do mind.  We're still just acquaintances, George. How do I know you're not gonna rob or murder me in my sleep?" I grabbed the dice and shook them around in my hands.

"How do I know you're not gonna rob or even rape me in my sleep? Hm?" He chuckled as I shook my head in confusion.

"Why would you even ask then if you think I'd rob or .. yeah .. " My sentence drifted off as I rolled the dice and watched them fall off the table.

"Because I know by now you wouldn't do that.. it's a little thing called trust (y/n), you ever heard of it?" He called out as he bent down under the table to retrieve the dice.

"Fine you can crash, you happy now?"

"Hell yeah." He passed me the dice and we continued to play for another hour before cleaning up the game and switching to movies.

We were watching our second movie, with wrappers lying around us on the couch, and scattered on the floor. We decided we didn't have enough snacks in my pantry, so he drove out and got bags and bags full. I did offer to get the snacks but he complained I'd bring only healthy food. I've honestly never had this much junk food in my home.  There goes my healthy streak.

"Hey, (y/n), where am I gonna sleep?" He tossed a wrapper aside and yawned.

"Right here. The couch." I kept my eyes on the screen and grabbed some chips from the bag. I heard him yawn again and purposely extend his arms out, right in front of my face. He kept fake yawning for a bit, just to annoy me, before I felt a heavy object drop in my lap. I looked down to see George staring back me. "What the heck is this? I'm not your pillow." I tried lifting his head off my lap, but he kept fighting back, until I gave up and continued watching the movie. I glanced down at him to see that he turned to face the screen.
