"So this was like a thing last time?" Tonks asked Sirius as her old headmaster called the meeting to order. Sirius nodded.

"Yeah, Albus started it last time after Voldemort started gaining followers. Someone has to fight back, right? Dumbledore made it so you couldn't join if you were still in school, so the moment we graduated, we signed up. All of us - James, Lily, Remus, and I. Even Peter, though he turned out to be a cowardly bastard. We kinda disbanded after Voldemort's body was destroyed, and this is the first time we've met again, officially. Dumbledore sent out a message last night to those of us who were in the Order last time, along with some new recruits. Trustworthy people, of course," he added at her doubtful expression. "Recommended people, like you."

"Like me?" Tonks wasn't aware of any degree of specialness she might possess that qualified her for the Order of the Phoenix. She was trained to fight Dark wizards, but still...Tonks thought she was pretty damn average.

"Yeah, Mad-Eye adores you, you should hear him go on about how great you are."

Feeling rather satisfied by the praise Moody had given her, Tonks turned her attention back to the speech that Dumbledore was beginning.

"As many of you may already know, Lord Voldemort returned to his body yesterday evening - or rather, two days ago, minding the late hour," Dumbledore announced.

A few quiet gasps echoed through the room, and some shivers at Voldemort's name, but no one dared speak. Tonks felt ice cold. Voldemort, returned? They would be facing another wizarding war. She guessed that this did, however, explain why the Order of the Phoenix was reconvening.

Dumbledore continued as though the reactions didn't bother him. "The Triwizard Cup was bewitched as a Portkey, and the moment that Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory touched it, they were transported to a graveyard in the village of Little Hangleton - a town in which both sides of Tom Riddle's family used to live. Buried in the graveyard are Tom's father and paternal grandparents, whom he killed when he was 16. Cedric Diggory was killed almost on site by Peter Pettigrew, using Voldemort's wand."

Sirius snarled a little here, but the rest of the room was silent. Listening.

"We must remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory."

A moment of complete silence fell before Dumbledore spoke again. "Voldemort used very Dark and ancient magic to return, along with the help of Harry, Pettigrew, and his own father."

"Harry?" asked a voice midway down the table in concern, and with a jolt Tonks recognized Molly Weasley, mother of two of her friends from school, Bill and Charlie. What was she doing here?

"Yes. Voldemort needed to use some of Harry's blood to recreate his body. In doing so, he has added some of Lily's protection into himself, some of the pure love that runs through Harry's veins."

"What does that mean?" Remus Lupin questioned, his face deep in thought.

"It means that Voldemort can now physically touch Harry, where he could not before. The pureness of Harry's soul was what protected him and killed Quirrell in his first year. Quirrell could not touch him without experiencing extreme agony," Dumbledore explained.

"Is this a setback?" Mad-Eye asked. His magical blue eye was staring upstairs though the top of his head.

Shaking his head, Dumbledore replied, "Not at the moment, although it takes away one of the weaknesses Voldemort had."
