*Harry's pov*
I watched the hot Starbucks waitress hurry along the narrow corridor and out of the lingerie store. I knew I had to run after her and explain why she had found us in such a awkward situation but I felt paralyzed from embarrassment. Ugh this is so embarrassing! Why did this happen to me? Louis chuckled beside me and I snapped out of my thoughts. In a few seconds I snapped the bra I was wearing open and pulled my shirt over my head.
I ran out of the shop without bothering to pull up my hoodie so not to be recognized and looked around trying to spot her. I quickly did and rushed to catch up to her uncertain of what I would say.
"Wait!" I said loudly without yelling. She turned around and looked at me with amusement still shinning in her eyes and lifting the corners of her full lips into a smile. "I... I can explain!" I stammered, embarrassed.
"There's nothing to explain." She told me, "I have nothing against homosexuals, my friend Daniels gay! But I was still a bit shocked..." She had a playful smirk on her lips, and even though it looked really hot, I didn't like it.
My jaw dropped at her statement and, and even though I knew I probably looked very silly, I couldn't help but being shocked. She thinks I am gay?! I am probably as straight as one can be! I realized it was time to turn this thing around so I wasn't the one in the uncomfortable situation anymore.
"Babe, if I was gay I wouldn't have enjoyed the sight of you in lace as much as I did." I told her letting my signature smirk take over my features as I saw a blush take over hers. I let out a low appreciative whistle to reinforce my point, making her head snap up to glare at me. However she quickly regained her cool.
"Well I wish I could say the same, but the sight of you in that bra was quite a turn off." She flashed a mean - but sexy - smile.
"Oh so do I usually turn you on?" My smirk grew into a smile before I realized it and she blushed even more.
"No! I never said that! I just mean that... that was umm shocking. And what were you and Louis doing in bras anyways? I've never seen a straight guy do that!" She grinned at me knowing she had turned the argument away from herself again. Darn it.
"Lou and I were just fooling around... I... We don't usually-" I tried to formulate an excuse but was interrupted.
"Oh Haz are you blushing?" Louis teased coming to stand next to me and noticing the redness that had once again settled on my cheeks. He looked between me and the stubborn waitress who looked like she wanted to laugh again. "He's only this embarrassed because he fancies you, sweetheart." He winked at her and our faces fell into matching shocked expressions.
"Louis!" I growled quietly in warning. He better stop embarrassing me! But he ignored me.
"Harry and I are going for a coffee, would you like to come along?" He asked the girl making me wonder what he was up to.
"I'm good... I think I should just go now." She mumbled trying to turn Louis' offer down without sounding rude.
"I insist!" He smiled.
"I spend most of my week making coffee, so I'd rather do something else in my free time." She answered making a good point, but Louis was persistent and when I finally got bored of staring at her and how hot she was, I stepped in.
"Louis, she said no." I told him, "Don't force her." She looked at me raising an eyebrow.
"Actually, I might as well tag along it's not like I have anything better to do." I stared at her in disbelief, this girl drove me insane!
*Dru's pov*
I made most of my way to the bar quietly listening to Louis talk. After we got there and took our orders we sat at a small round table outside. Even though it was summer and the weather was lovely I held my cup of coffee tightly in my hands and let the warm feeling tingle my skin as I listened to the two boys bicker. They are just like a couple! I thought stealing glances at them. I realized how close they must have been as I listened to their conversations feeling a bit like a third wheel.
"So are you going to tell me your name?" Harry asked me suddenly, ending his argument with Louis and turning around in his chair a little to see me better.
"No." I told him in all honesty.
He didn't seem surprised by my answer "Why? You know mine." He stated matter of factly.
"Because even though we keep bumping into each other, I don't intend on seeing you again. Also because I don't particularly like you." I told him. "And it's not my fault I know your name, my best friends don't shut up about you so it kind of sticks." He raised his eyebrows at my bluntness before pulling them together and pouting at me like a little boy.
"What's your name, love?" Louis asked as Harry opened his mouth to complain about my statement. I took a look at Louis and decided he'd been nothing but nice to me, so I might as well tell him.
"Dru." I told him and couldn't help but smile at Harry's bewildered expression. Ha ha loser! I thought.
"Wha- You... What was that for?" I could tell I had shocked him as he couldn't voice his thoughts properly.
I shrugged. "Louis is nice, I don't see why I shouldn't tell him my name."
Harry mumbled something incomprehensible and gave me a dirty look, but obviously decided to move on as he asked "So, Dru do you plan to work at Starbucks forever?"
I didn't understand why we were suddenly talking about my life and future but answered anyways "Nope. It's a summer job, I'm starting university in September."
Louis nodded as if it made sense "What are you going to study?" he asked.
"Teaching. I've been accepted into university." I informed them and watched Harry's green eyes widen. Well, he must have thought I wasn't very smart... How insulting!
"Oh cool!" Louis said nodding his head impressed.
Suddenly I remembered how we bumped into each other and asked Louis, "So do you want to tell me why I found you guys in bras?"
"Oh that! Yeah we went in there to look for something for my girlfriend," I watched as Louis' face lit up as he talked about her. Aww that's sweet, I thought. "But... Harry over here dared me to try one on so I dared him back! And that's how we ended up in bras!" He explained to me as if it was what most normal teenage boys did.
I nodded my head slowly and glanced down at my watch noticing I was late for my shift. "Interesting story I guess, but I have to go." I said to no one in particular.
"Oh ok, Harry will walk you there." Louis offered but it sounded more like he already made up his mind but I declined. And so did Harry.
"No, I don't feel like walking." Harry groaned.
I shot him a dirty look and said, "Yeah and I don't feel like walking with him." Harry pouted- again- at my response and I shot him a glare as my goodbye. I gave Louis a small smile and quickly walked away from the coffee shop.
Even though I didn't mind Louis I certainly didn't like Harry and didn't want to have to walk to work with such an annoying brat.
*Louis's pov*
I watched Harry as he watched Dru walk away. Although lust was clear in his eyes and in the way he was checking her out I thought I could see something else on his features. Something else that isn't there when he just checks girls out. His eyes never left her while she walked until she finally disappeared.
"What?" He asked me when he finally turned and realized I was staring at him.
"Do you like Dru?" I asked studying his face.
"No she's stubborn and annoying." He answered and he looked honest. But maybe that was exactly what was attracting him to her. "But I really need to get into her pants. She is so hot."
I mentally face palmed: What was I thinking of course that's all Harry was looking for... and here I had hoped he had changed.
