Episode 4: Droids vs Storm Troopers

Episode 4

The emptiness of space around Ryloth was filled with CIS and Imperial Ships. The two were engaged in a heated battle. Star fighters filled the gaps between ships. Pong Gorra commanded his flagship. His larger ships held off against the Star Destroyer, but then again, this was a mere ambush on the small fleet. Pong used one of his newer model ships, a small corvette designed to crash into ships head on and push them upside down. He deployed two of those on the Star destroyers which knocked it upside down, vulnerable to attack. The CIS ships destroyed it, only losing two light cruisers. The ships got above the surface and deployed assault crafts, large H shaped ships descended onto the surface below. Various droids marched out on the old factory, pushing on the imperial position. TIE Strikers flew overhead bombing the droid positions. Imperial Army men guarded the outside of the old CIS base, lesser to the imperial storm trooper. The droids plowed right through them, taking 200 losses out of their 1,500 ground troops. If won, the droids could be easily replaced. A large Tri Droid pushed up, taking out the imperial artillery. Inside the base, storm troopers scrambled to their positions, all taking a position by the main entrance to get the droids in overlapping fields of fire. The storm troopers got ready, B1s marched in firing, killing several storm troopers but were gunned down quickly. The imperials did damage but were pushed back, the remaining B1s taking cover.

"Push forward!" An OOM9 droid shouted firing at a storm trooper, killing him. A droidaka squad rolled in, now the storm troopers faced a problem.

"We need heavy troopers!" A storm trooper shouted into the com.

"On their way!" Another replied into the com. The storm troopers held strong but did lose more men. Once the shock troopers arrived, the droidakas were gone. The troopers pushed upward on the entrance, now seeing B2s march at them. They opened fire, killing mist of them but took light losses. The shock troopers took up a defensive position, setting up cover and mounting E-Webs. The droids pushed through, smoke was the largest force in the battle.

Aboard The Claimer, Pong Gorra's ship. Pong contacted Tyvo to inform him of a push. The two discussed a plan while the smaller imperial ships were being attacked. The CIS frigates were in pieces, thanks to the mighty imperial fleet. The sounds of lasers was well apparent. Pong lost contact but was quick to call. "[It seems the communications tower was hit.]" Pong said.

"How goes the attack?" Tyvo asked.

"[An OOM-9 Droid informs me that it is well. Minor issues with Imperial Shock Troopers. They will soon join the bugs underground once we finish the assault. The Empire won't know they've lost the base.]" Pong said. Soon the ship shook and Tyvo's signal was lost. The Dominator was now there, and began firing it's yellow turbo lasers. Pong looked out the window and saw a Frigate be torn apart. His ship returned fire, the Dominator's shields ate the blasts like candies. A hologram projection of Darth Vader emerged, by the window where Nark was.

"Director Malcom, The Inquisitor informs me of the attack on the CIS fleet has begun." Vader said. Nark turned around, surprised.

"Yes indeed, my lord." Nark replied.

"Shall I provide assistance?" Vader asked.

"Uh.."

"It is up to you, Director." Vader said.

"My ship can hold against these assembly line droids." Nark said.

"Very well Director Malcom. Where is Inquisitor Hadwal?" Vader asked.

"I am not sure, Captain Varyn?" Nark asked looking over at Tonn.

"Inquisitor Hadwal left to attack the ship." Tonn said.

"Thank you captain. Director, Contact me once the CIS are destroyed." Vader said cutting the transmission. Nark looked at Tonn worried, Tonn laughed.

"Send Paz and his men out to finish the droids." Nark ordered.

A shuttle landed behind droid lines and seven death trooper squads were deployed. Paz, duel wielding SE-14r blaster pistols lead the charge. His men were all equipped with E-11D rifles. Droids fell over by the dozen, the Death Troopers using tactics used by arc troopers when dealing with droids. Paz barrel rolled forward in between two B1s and blew their heads off. The smoke cloud outside grew, catching the attention of the storm troops trapped.

"Death Troopers..." one of the storm troopers said.

"Good." Another replied.

The CIS fleet was now nearly destroyed. One frigate escaped, heavily damaged. The flagship was on fire, shuttles flying everywhere trying to escape. Alarms sounded as imperial boarding parties entered. A droid squad escorted Pong to an emergency shuttle, the lights flickering. The door was jammed. Explosions were louder now. The PA blared the words "ship disabled" over and over. The PA control was by the exit, Pong rose his DL-18 and shot it. The door opened a bit more, still too narrow.

Tyvo made contact with the ship, being patched through from a ceiling projector. Pong and Tyvo talked from behind the door. Tyvo trying to see what was happening.

"I can send my fleet." Tyvo said.

"[Don't! Their ship is too powerful!]" Pong shouted back. Soon a clicking was heard. The B1s took aim with their E-5 blaster rifles. The two B2s took aim with their arm canons. Trevic was standing there. The droids opened fire, all their shots being deflected. Trevic threw one droid into the floor, cutting up three more, stabbing a B2, the door opened, Pong ran as his droids were killed, caught in a force choke, the Geo was cut in half by Trevic.

"Sir! Sir!" A rebel said running down the hall and toward the hangar, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Yes private?" Tyvo asked.

"The CIS fleet has been confirmed destroyed, one of their ships escaped. We intercepted it. An Inquisitor is out there, he got General Gorra." The rebel breathed in and out.

"Damn..." Tyvo sighed.

"What do we do?" The private asked.

"I'm not sure." Tyvo replied.

The Emperor's Palace was filled with celebratory music as Officers, Generals, Commanders, and other high ranking officers gathered. Nark, Trevic, and Paz all entered the main hall where The Emperor, his main guard Kir Kanos, Darth Vader, and multiple storm commandos stood. The three walked toward them, all Bowing.

"Your services for this galaxy have been recognized. For that I bestow these medals upon you." The Emperor said reaching over to a small table which had three medals on them. "For success in tracking the evil droids down, for killing their leader, I bestow this medal and new rank upon Inquisitor Trevic Hadwal, the new Grand Inquisitor." The Emperor said taking a medal. Trevic bowed forward, taking the medal. "For saving the lives of over two hundred soldiers and destroying a droid battalion with your men, Commander Paz, you will be the new Commander of the Death Troopers. By this you have full command over some of our best troops." The Emperor said giving Paz a medal. He then looked to Nark. "For destroying their fleet and every last of their ships. For great effort and outstanding work, for creating a ship that has defeated many terrorists, Director Malcom, I award you a promotion from Lt. Commander to General." The Emperor said awarding Nark his medal. The three looked back, seeing the large crowds, everyone applauding.
