Starry Night

Chapter 1

Love? What is love? I know I love my mother but do I love Rat? Well I think I do. But in a different way. I love my mother because she is my mother, but Rat. I love him the way that makes me want to always be by his side. The kind that makes me want to kiss him. The kind people feel when they have sex.
   I want Rat back. I want his touch. His love. His kiss. I want him.
   I had kissed Rat that time when I had decided to leave and find my friend. And he had kissed me after the wall fell. But I don't know if those kisses were out of love or out of stress. I don't know of he loves me the way I love him.
   I have never been in love with anybody. Let alone a guy. What would my mom think?
   "What's on your mind Shion?" My mom asks.
"Nothing. I was just wondering something."
"Well what were you wondering?"
I sigh and look down at my folded hands. My white hair was falling over my eyes. "W-would you be okay with me uhm dating a g-guy?"
My mom looks at me shocked.
"Why would I not be okay with that. Are you in love with Rat or something?"
"I don't know" I say in a confused tone. "I honestly don't even know much about what love is in the first place let alone if I love him. Plus how would I know if he likes me the same way?"
My mom looks at me placing her hand on my cheek running her thumb up and down the scar that wraps my cheek. "Shion. I don't know what to say but all I know is that Rat will be back for you someday and when he comes ask him. Everything that you just said to me ask him about."
"I-i don't know if can do that."
My mom smiles and looks into my eyes. "You have to. If you really want to know if he loves you. You have to do this."
I nod understandingly.
"Good now go to bed. I'll clean up here."
"Thank you"
She nods smiling.
I head up the stairs to my room and I fall straight on my bed. Tears beginning to trickle down my cheeks. "Come home Rat. Please I need you."
I hear the rain outside of my window.
I smile a bit through my tears and I get up to open the window but suddenly there is a crash from downstairs.
"Shion!" My mom yells "Shion come down here!"
I jump and start to run down the stairs. My mom stands there shocked. I see what she is looking at. It is the face I knew so well.
"Rat?" I ask.
He looks up at me. He has scratches on his face.
I run to him and I hold him in my arms. I squeeze him like I'll never let him go.
"Shion" he says in a raspy voice.
"Rat. Your back."
Tears fall faster down my cheeks. Once sad tears now replaced by happy ones.
"I told you I would be back for you."
I smile.
He takes his thumb and wipes the tears from my eyes. "Don't cry. There is no need I am here now."
My mom looks at us smiling. "You boys go upstairs and catch up. I am going to bed."
I nod and grab Rat's hand. I walk up the stairs with him.
"Shion?" Rat asks.
"Yes" I say.
"I have a lot to tell you."
I smile "me too"
I close my door behind us and walk over to my bed and sit down. Rat sits down next to me and he grabs my hand.
"Shion. I have had a lot of time to think on this mission and I have decided that I can't leave you again. I have realized that you are the one I can't forget about. I-i think I love you."
Tears again fall down my face once more.
"I think I love you too."
Rat looks into my eyes and grabs my face in his palms. He leans forward slowly and kisses me. Slow at first but then of picks up. I melt into the kiss not wanting it to end.
"Rat" I say when he pulls away. "What kind of kiss was that?"
"It was an 'I love you' one"
I blush.
I lean forward and I kiss him again.
I wrap my arms around him to deepen the kiss.
"I love you Rat"
"I love you too Shion"

I wake up the next morning with Rat clinging to my back.
I smile and roll over to look at him. I kiss his nose.
"Good morning sleepy head." I whisper to him.
He opens one eye and smiles at me.
"Good morning cutie"
I blush and I snuggle into his chest. His chest rises and falls as he breathes. He smells of lavender and vanilla.
"You smell nice" I say.
He laughs "your so random Shion"
I blush "I am not"
He pokes my nose "yes you are."
I laugh a bit.
He leans down to kiss me. I lean forward too.
Only he doesn't kiss me. He smells me.
"You smell of bread and coconut"
I laugh. "We made coconut muffins yesterday at the bakery."
He smiles.
"You really shouldn't tease me Rat."
He looks at me confused. "I thought you were going to kiss me"
He looks at me. "Do you want me to kiss you?"
I blush. "Well uhm yes."
He smiles and leans forward planting his soft lips on mine.
Our mouths move in sync and my heart races. Rat wraps his arms around me deepening the kiss.
I put my hands in his hair and I pull a bit.
I moan a bit into the kiss in happiness.
"If you moan like that again Shion I might not be able to stop myself"
I blush realizing what he meant.
"O-oh i-im sorry"
He blushes. "Don't be sorry i-i just don't want you to experience your first time like this. Its not very romantic"
I smile. "Then let's find a way to make it romantic. Tonight."
Rat blushes. "I have an idea"

Time skip:

Rat blindfolded me and held me bridal style in his arms.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"You will see."
I blush.
I hear him begin to walk down steps and open a door.
He sets me down and he removes my blindfold.
"How about this"
I looked around at where Rat and I used to stay.
"Its our old place." I say with tears at the corner of my eyes.
He nods.
I throw myself into his arms and I kiss him.
"It's perfect Rat."
He smiles at me.
I blush as he kisses me back.
I slowly remove Rat's jacket not breaking the kiss.
He smiles. "Someone is eager."
I blush.
"Let me do this Shion. All i want to do is make you feel good."
I blush harder and nod.
He starts to kiss me again. He licks my bottom lip asking for entrance. I gladly give him access to explore. Our tongues wrestle for dominance but of course Rat wins.
Rat removes my shirt along with his and he begins to grind his hips against mine.
