Sapphire Waters:

3 day later (Sorry, a bit extreme of the time skip, but I need it to be this long)

Lights glared into my eyes as I opened them slowly. I sqeezed them shut as I heard two girls coming in. "Saph." Lily whispered. "Saph." She repeated louder. "Saph, I know you're awake. Tell us, are you okay?"

I grumbled as I sat up but smiled at them. "Yea. Listen, abou- Why am I in the Hospital Wing?" I exclaimed. "You blacked out." Avalia said in an oh-so-obvious tone. "Wh-what?! How long was I out?" I asked. "3 days." Lily replied bluntly. "3 days! Three. Freaking. Days! Oh gods. Is there any homework?" I asked.

Avalia waved me off. "That doesn't matter right now. If you're alright, tell us how you spoke in my mind and we'll fill you in about what happened." Avalia said. "Fine. But you can't tell Sev." I sighed. "Why not?" Lily perked up, surprised. "Because." I replied. "No, honestly, why?" Lily asked again. "Because Prfessor McGonagall said so. I suppose Sev doesn't know I spoke in Ava's mind, right?" I asked. "Um.. No, but-" Lily started.

"Well ok. Basically, ImaStormBringerandthat'spartofmypowers." I said, squashing my words together. "You're a what?" Lily asked. "SormBringer. One is born every ten years." Avalia said in awe. I nodded. Lily still had the confused look on her face. Avalia and I looked at eachother.

"You explain." I said, curling up on the bed.

"Ohh..." Lily said after Avalia gave her a brief explanation. "Cool! So that's why you don't want anyone to know" She said, beaming at me. "Yea, yea. Now, you promised to fill me in, Ava. Where's my share of the news?" I asked, turning towards the girls who suddenly looked nervous. "You won't like it, Saph." Lils said. "No you won't." Ava agreed. I crossed my arms and stood up. "C'mon. Spill." I said.

"Okay, but you must sit because the shock might kill you." Avalia said. I obeyed and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I still don't believe it." Lily muttered as she plopped down on the bed opposite me.

"Wait, Saph, if you can talk in my mind, can you read it? Like, can you read a memory?" Avalia asked suddenly. I nodded, "Yea, sue. Tried it on Caitie once." I replied, "Why?"

"Because Lils and I don't want to say it." Avalia said with a nervous edge to her voice. Still not getting why they're so nervous about giving me one small piece of information, I dove into Ava's mind to find a shock.

Avalia Jones:

Flashback

The sound of a slap was heard as Lils and I were departing with Sev. We spun around and saw in shock that Sapphire was fainting. "SAPH!" I screamed as I hurtled down the hallway. How could I not realise she wasn't with us? But it was the next thing that shocked me the most. Sirius Black brushed past Saph and threw himself onto Lucius Malfoy. "Stay away from her!" Black demanded as Malfoy was tackled to the ground. They began rolling around, fighting as they screamed insults at each other. James Potter caught Sapphire as she slipped into unconsciousness. Lily and I stared at each other in bewilderment as Remus Lupin, the other Gryffindor prefect (Lils is a prefect), looked around for a teacher. Peter Pettigrew shooed the crowd away.

"What is going on here? Black, Malfoy! My office. NOW!" Professor McGonagall roared. "Professor, Sapphire blacked out." Lupin called. Sapphire. He called his number two victim (Severus is first) by her given name. Professor McGonagall took one look at Saph before calling Potter and Lupin to bring her to the Hospital Wing. Sev was no where to be seen by now, Lils and I went after the two Marauders and Black and Malfoy trudged up towards McGonagall's office, still arguing, their eyes filled with loathing and hatred.

Another Flashback

Lily and I were going to the infirmary. When we reached Sapphire's bed, we saw the Marauders standing nearby but Lupin (Whom I noticed, is in the infirmary at least once every month) was not in a bed. And there was no one in there in a bed except for Saph. Lily put her hands on her hips as she glowered at them, daring them to come closer. I strode up to Saph's bed and put down that day's homework on the table beside her bed along with a few pieces of chocolate I managed to take from that morning's breakfast. "I told you she likes chocolate." Lupin smirked at his friends. "Yes, she does." I said curtly as Lils answered more harshly. "What are you doing here?" She snapped.

"It's not forbidden for us to visit Waters, you know." Black said. "Why would you want to visit her?" I asked in shock. "Because." He replied. "If you hexed Saph in any way-" Lily began hotly. "Relax, Lilyflower, we didn't do anything of that sort. We only gave her a basket of chocolate that is most definitely not charmed. I swear." James said. Lily snorted, "I don't believe you." "Well, believe him now. Surely you can't think a prefect is lying?" Lupin asked. Lily gave them a look of mistrust. "If you did charm it, know that she is trying suicide just because she's been bullied by you four for the past four years." I snapped before clamping a hand over my mouth. Oh gods. Staph is gonna kill me. She doesn't even know I know. I just happen to come across her once when she was doing that. "S-s-suicide?" Black stammered. "Yes, Black. Do you have a problem?" I asked, a soft growl rumbling deep in my throat.

Black looked at me in the eye. "Yes, actually. We wanted to apologise to her for bullying her and we will never do it again." My mouth hung open with shock for a second. "You're kidding." I decided. "Not quite. There's actually a note in that basket." Pettigrew told me. I took a cautious step back. "To apologise." He added. "I know I'm too trusting, considering the things you did to Saph, but, well, we'll see."

"Ava. You're really believing that nonsense?" Lils turned to me, eyes flashing. "Do you have another explanation for why they helped her when she fainted?" I shot back. Lily opened her mouth to answer but no sound came out. Huffing, she swept out of the Hospital Wing, pausing at the door.

"How about Severus? Those four won't accept him, Ava. Think about it." Lily said before leaving.

Sapphire Waters:

I gazed at my friends with a look of sadness. Not shock or anger, but sadness. It never occurred me that Lils and Ava never got along as well as I thought. Probably because Avalia once said she didn't really care about Severus in the girls' dorm when Mary was't there. Of course I thought the same, I mean, he hardly talks to me, but I made a mental note never to say that. They looked at me expectantly, one challenging and one filled with guilt. I turned to Lily with an apologising look before saying, "I will see how they truly are before judging them. I'm sorry Lily." My voice cracked as I looked away in shame. I might just lose two of my friends just for four boys who bullied me before. What if this is a prank? Then again, if that really happened, it might be worth it. But Lily had left and there was no turning back now.
