~~~~~~~ Mention of Suicide may be triggering~~~~
Sherlock looked at the scene in front of him before falling onto his knees. Why.. That was the only thing that was crossing his mind. Why did John have to leave him? Sherlock dragged himself across the room pulling John's head onto his lap. He stroked Johns hair while trying not to cry. He let out a whimper before smiling sadly down at his best friend. Hell, his only friend.
"John, please" Sherlock managed to whimper out, pulling his friends almost limp body closer to him.
"john.." Sherlock began to sob loudly, not gaining the attention from his landlady due to her being used to John sobbing after Sherlock committed suicide. John looked up at him, obviously pained by the movement he made.
"S-Sherlock, you're alive" John whispered, grimacing by the movement of his lungs and mouth. Blood slowly dripping out of his mouth. Sherlock began to cry harder, trying not to scream.
"j-John why..." Sherlock whimpered out, stroking Johns face gently.
"Y-you left me Sherlock. I-I didn't know what to do, you were what was holding me down. W-why did you leave me?" John said softly, before beginning to cough, blood spraying out of his mouth, hitting Sherlocks face.
"I-Im sorry John, I.. I needed to protect you." By now Sherlock was full on sobbing, much to his surprise. Caring is a weakness, a poison. Sherlock was never supposed to care, he was a sociopath, a freak. He shouldn't have fallen for the army soldier.
"S-Sherlock, I'm sorry, I-I shouldn't have done anything" Sherlock looked at John while he spoke, his face was growing paler and his eyes were dimming.
"It's not your fault John, try to hang on" Sherlock whimpered as he pressed on Johns wrists, trying to stop the bleeding. He was hoping John would survive but it was obvious he wouldn't make it. He speed dialed his brother and Greg.
"Help at 221B Baker Street, officer down" Sherlock tried to keep his voice strong but there was an obvious crack at the end of it.
"John hang on, help is coming" Sherlock hugged him closer, wrapping his wrists with his shirt.
"Please don't leave me" Sherlock cried out softly, John's eyes dimming down. Sherlock noticed this along with his heart beat slowing down. He knew John wouldn't make it.
"S-Sherlock Holmes, I.." John whispered, obviously getting weaker because of the blood loss. "I... I.." he whispered before his eyes closed and he took his final breath. Johns head rolled against Sherlock's chest. Sherlock began to sob loudly, he had just lost his best friend, his partner, the man he loved. All because he listened to his brother and stayed away. Greg and Mycroft busted into the room to see the scene before them. Sherlock cradling John against him, blood all over the both of them. Sherlock was a mess, tear stains running down his face along with John's blood all over him. Sherlock looked at his brother, feeling hopeless. The paramedics rushed to John's side, checking his vitals before looking at Mycroft and Greg shaking their heads. Sherlock let out a whimper, pulling his best friend closer to his body. Mycroft walked over to Sherlock before pulling him up and away from John, trying to calm him down.
"He will be staying at my place for a while. Goodbye" Mycroft looked at everyone in the room. Mrs. Hudson was in the corner of the room, sobbing softly. How did she not see the signs? Sherlock walked behind Mycroft feeling numb inside.
~~~

It has been two weeks since John had passed away and Sherlock has not eaten anything. He knew his body was slowly shutting down and he didn't mind. He has been on a couple of cases but he couldn't focus on them. Right now he was sitting in a cold bath with his clothes on and playing with a gun.

"I-Im so sorry John.. I should've helped you.. Im so so so sorry" he whimpered out, before putting the gun up to his head. "Im sorry" was all that was said before a gun shot rang out into the silence of the night.
