The next morning...
Chapter 6 What You're Doing
I woke up that morning with someone in my arms. I held my beath as I looked over to see Amelia lying next to me, an angelic look on her face as she slept. Her pale skin was bare only covered by a small part of the sheets. My own body was not covered at all, exposing my sweaty skin, shining against the sun. My heart stopped. Jane was sure to see me with my secret lover.
Just as I thought this I heard Jane's sharp voice from the door and quickly looked to where she stood, "You bastard!" Around her stood the lads, including George. They all had a blank look on their face, showing no emotion. Tears started to swell in Jane's eyes.
"Love, I can explain!" I said, covering my exposed body with some of the blankets that had fallen to the floor. I quickly leaped across the room to reach for her and wipe away her tears but she dodged my grasp.
"Who else have you been sleeping with?" Jane snapped through her tears.
"No one I swear-- I -- I only love you" A bitter laugh came from Jane when I said this.
"Whatever. I'm leaving. Don't sleep with John before I make it out the door." Jane turned on her heel. She gave me the finger with both her hands and slammed the door behind her with a deafening bang.
Tears coated my cheeks as I fell to the. The blanket fell as well but that was the last thing on my mind.
"What a screw up." I heard George say from the bedroom doorway.
"What?" I managed to say between sobs as I looked up at him. The others looked so big as they looked down at me. I hiccuped and more tears streamed down my face.
"It's not all about you, Paul." Ringo spoke up.
"Wh-" I choked on my tears. "What are you talking about?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
The others started surounding my naked body, closing in on me and I felt trapped. Darkness started to spread around my blurred vision. I tried grasping for light but the sticky blackness devoured me and then there was nothing.

I woke up with a start. and looked around my bed to see if Amelia was there. I was alone. Jane's bed was empty as well. With a sudden spark of curiosity, I threw away the blankets that covered me to see if last night was apart of the dream too. I found my pajama pants to my ankles. Even though no one was there, I blushed and covered myself up.
I pulled up my pants and made my way into the kitchen and got out a bottle of vodka. Nothing like something strong after a nightmare. The newspaper sat on the counter, tempting me. I rested on the couch in the main room and read the top news. The front picture showed me and the lads in our new movie from this summer, A Hard Days Night.
Another Reason To Love The Beatles!
The title made me smile. Before I could dig any deeper into the story, the front door opened. Jane and Amelia came into the room laughing and panting. I looked up from my paper and saw that they were both soaked. I didn't know whether I was more excited in an inappropriate way to see both girls so wet or disturbed by how happy they seemed.
"Hullo," I said from where I sat. They're attention came to me and they tried calming down their giggles. "What do we have 'ere?"
Jane caught her breath and spoke up, "we were going to this lovely diner for breakfast when the rain caught us. Before we could get too wet we ran into the dry, warm diner. I realized I forgot my purse here right as we got our food! Can you believe that?" The two started giggling and Jane continued," so we ran back here and the rain became so hard we could hardly walk! When I reached for the door of the building, my wallet fell out of my jacket!"
I pretended to chuckle but the story didn't amuse me at all. It didn't even make sense to me. I sat down and got back to reading. But then I remembered my night with Amelia...
How did she sneak away without Jane noticing? And now they were all buddy buddy just like that? It was like she was taking advantage of the both of us. It was kind of sick and yet... I liked it...
God Amelia, would it be too much to ask of you, what you're doing to me?
