It was my hacthing day. I wondered what would happen today on my special day. I was walking down the dimmed stairs too the bottom it was dark but it was morning? that was weird. Anyway my little brother popped out of nowhere and tackled me I really liked that it was comforting. "Happy hatching day!" My brother called out. "Thanks." I walked out to the dining room it was not a lot but it was the best we could come up with we had a small window with my grandmothers really expensive vase and trophy bone (my dad) and a small clay figure it was a clay model of the most dangerous snake the Desert Viper (but it really looked like a scribble). (mine from when I was little). My whole family was there my mom, dad, uncle, aunt, and my little brother we had a feast and watched the stars i then opened my presents. I will name them the way (I opened them smallest to biggest) I opened the one from my uncle cactus (sandwing) he gave me a beautiful golden ring. The next one was from my aunt Viper (sandwing) she got me a fresh stuffed Desert Viper. It was pretty cool if you ask me then it was my dads turn he is a nighwing so I may get something good from him he gave me a pouch with something inside it was moving? I was opening it when he said " now don't go eating it I whent all the way too the rainforest to get that thing!" Ok dad" I gave him a smile and opened it it was a animal it had brown fur it moved slowly it had a white streak on the top of its head. "It's called a sloth" a sloth?". Later I named it stripe because it had a stripe on its head stripe climbed on my neck it was comfy. "Mom where is your present?" Oh I will go get it it is very very special" she smiled and went away. What could it be?
Thorns pov
I was walking along too my hidden nest "this was my daughters last present a special present what could go wrong?" Everything went wrong. I was digging up the egg but there was nothing I searched frantically around the sand. nothing. I was looking around I saw a figure a sandwing he was carrying a egg. And I looked down his footprints where there leading too him I growled and chased after him I reiginised him right away. Dune. I ran as fast as I could I took off into the sky he saw me. He ran and flew he was bigger than me I was caching up to him. But then as I was getting close he when into a cave and disappeared I screamed at the top of my dragon lungs. I blew fire everywhere I did not care if I burned someone's foot. Dune just stole my egg. And he was going too pay.
