A kind man once asked me "What is a Queen without her King?" He asked me this right before the blade hit his neck and sliced his tiny, worthless head. I pondered his words for a while. What is a Queen without her King? In a political sense, I guess more powerful. However, in a romantic sense, I guess I should just say heartless.
That word, heartless, is self-explanatory. Heart... Less. Less of a heart? Such deep thinking over a simple word.
I went to the castle's large library, and found one of the dictionaries out if the set of five.
Heartless
Adjective
Displaying a complete lack of feeling or consideration.
"Heartless thieves stole the stroller of a two-year-old boy"
Synonyms: unfeeling, unsympathetic, unkind, uncaring, insensitive...
Antonyms: compassionate
What an intriguing word. I guess you could say I am unkind or unsympathetic in some aspects. Ever since the day Jest died and the three sisters took my heart I find everything I do a waste of my time unless it is in the name of revenge.
I guess it helps to say the things I mean. I, Catherine Pinkerton Hearts, am a heartless, unkind, unsympathetic person.
And I don't even care.
