Do You Hate Me

Intro

"Run!" I heard my mom scream, as I ran as hard as I could into the forest. Not wanting to back, I kept running until the sun went down. I finally sat down by a tree stump. So much stuff is running around in my head. 'What happened to my parents? What do they want? Why did they attack us?' Those questions kept bugging me me, until I finally passed out from exhaustion.

"Tzuyu?" My mother called. I ran downstairs to her.

"Yes?"

"Help me pick out a dress tonight will you?" She asked with puppy eyes.

"You really want a 12 year old to pick your dress out?" She nodded her head.

"This one." I pointed at a black gown.

"I was thinking of the same one." She held up her hand and high five'd each other. She gave me a smile and went to put the dress on. She walked back out and did a twirl.

"So, how do I look?" She asked.

"Stunning." In walked me father.

"My,my." They both walked towards each other an embraced. I covered my eyes saying.

"Ya! There is a 12 year old in here." They both just laughed. They sure do love teasing me.

"We will be back around 9. Make sure you lock the doors and don't answer the door for anyone. Alright?"

"Yes mother, I know. Now go have fun." I said, pushing them out the door.

"We love you." They both said.

"I love y'all too." Finally, alone time. Let's see, ice cream and a movie sounds nice. After an hour I think I had fallen asleep, because I woke up to people shouting through the house.

"Search the house." I heard a man yell. Oh my gosh!! Someone broke into my house. I was about to scream when a hand covered my mouth and pulled into a different room. I started kicking the person.

"Hey, it's me." I turned around and saw dad.

"What's going on?" I whispered in panic.

"It's them. They found us." Who's them? Fear started to creep in seeing the panic on my dad's face.

"Do you remember the escape route?" Dad had asked mom.

"Ne."

" You two go on ahead. I will try to slow them down."

"Be safe honey." My mother said to him.

"Come on Tzuyu. We have to hurry." We ran, leaving dad behind.

"This way!" A guy had yelled.

"Mom. They are following us.

"Tzuyu, you keep on going and don't look." I looked at her.

"No mom. We have to go together." I protested.

"It'll be okay, sweetie." She gave me a smile and kissed me on the forehead.

"Now go." I stared at her for a few more moments and left. I couldn't just leave, so I ran behind a tree.

"Boss, we comforted one, but the kid is gone. What are your orders?" A guy asked speaking into his phone.

"Exterminate it, but bring me the child."

"Understood." They both drew their guns out and pointed them at mom. No! I started to run out from my hiding place when a shot rang out. I stopped in my tracks. I saw my mother falling to the ground. She looked at me. Her eyes were turning red.

"Tzuyu." She said.

"Run."

"Mother!" I woke up yelling.

"Hey. Not so fast. You will make yourself dizzy." I looked over and saw a girl sitting in a chair beside the bed.

"Where am I?" I asked, looking around the room.

"This is my place." She smiled.

"I found you lying in the woods. So I brought you here."

"Did you see anyone else?" Hoping she might have seen my parents.

"Just two guys running in the woods. Were they after you?"

"No." I lied while looking away. I don't think she believed me.

"Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Mina." She stuck out her hand and I shook it.

"Tzuyu."

"What were you doing in the middle of the forest?" She asked me.

"I just got separated from my parents." I lied again. I feel bad about lying to her, but I have to keep my secret safe. So no one will be hurt.

"Ah, I see. Maybe we can go find them in town later." She suggested. I don't think that will be a good idea. Those people might be looking for me.

"Yeah. Sure."

Later that day, Mina and I went into town. She wanted to go to the police but I insisted that my parents have plans on coming into town today anyways. We wondered around for a little bit before deciding to go to the store. But for some reason, it felt like we were being watched

"Hope you don't mind. I just need to pick up a few things for dinner." I nodded and she went on skipping around for the things she needed. I noticed, out of the corner of my eye, a guy watching us in the other isle. He looks suspicious.

"Hey, Mina?"

"Hmm?" She turned around and looked at me.

"I think I need to leave now."

"Oh, did you find your parents?"

"Not exactly." I started backing up towards the exit. As I turned around fixing to run, a man had appeared. Oh crap!

"Mina, run!" I grabbed her hand and we bolted out of there.

"Where are we going?" Mina yelled.

"Far away from here." We kept on running, but those guys were right on our tail. We had ended up back in the forest. We have only been running in the woods for 5 minutes when I heard a thud noise. I turned around and saw Mina on the ground. She had tripped over a tree root.

"Are you alright?" I asked, helping her up.

"Why are we running?" She asked while brushing herself off. At this point she needs to know the truth.

"Mina, you see I'm..."

"Freeze! Don't move!" I looked around and saw the guys who have been chasing us.

"Come quietly and no one gets hurt." One guy said.

"What is this about?" Mina asked the guy.

"Stay out of this, little girl."He said firmly.

"You can't just take her away without any explanation. Look, I'm.." The other gut had kicked Mina on the ground.

"Ya!" I yelled. They got me angry. I can't control myself once I'm angry. I felt the surge of energy running through my veins. My senses getting stronger. I ran up to the guy who kicked Mina, with unimaginable speed. I picked him up by the throat and threw him at a tree.

"Stop! I'm warning you."The other guy had his gun still pointing at me. I ran towards him and also picked him up by the throat. My hands tightening around, gasping for air.

"Stop, please!" I heard Mina say. I turned around and looked at her. I dropped the guy on the ground. I walked over towards Mina.

"Mina. I can explain." I told her.

"You don't need to explain. I know what you are." Oh no...

"Vampire."
