*Cas*

A month or so after their wedding Cas had applied to a local college and to his surprise gotten in. It's not that Cas wasn't smart he had just let his grades drop towards the end. He had started going to school to become a high school teacher. He worked part time at a cafe down the street from the apartment. His daily ritual was waking up around eight, making Dean breakfast and coffee. Then he'd kiss him 'Goodbye' around nine. It was about a 15 minute walk so he got to his first lecture right on time. His classes ended at two and he headed to his shift at the coffee shop.

He worked till five and then came home to his beautiful husband. He spent a few heavenly hours with him. Then at 7 he did a night shift at the Cafe, then finally at nine he came home for the night. Some nights he had enough energy to make love with Dean, but tonight was not one of those nights.

Cas opened the bedroom door and collapsed on the bed. His hair was wet from his recent shower. Dean turned over and wrapped his arms around him.

"How was your day Angel?"

"Exhausting, you?"

"I got promoted."

"That's great, baby. I'm not surprised you're the best worker that auto shop has ever seen. "

Dean laughed and nodded.

"I know. It came with a raise and a bonus. Maybe you won't have to take that night shift anymore" Dean suggested.

"I'll just have to take less night shifts, which is still good. "

" Come on Cas, I miss you."

"I know" he replied.

You could hear the sadness in his voice.

Dean kissed him and turned towards the wall. Cas wrapped his arms around him and set his head on Dean's shoulder. He saw the slight glimmer of a tear on Dean's cheek.

He gripped him tight and slowly fell asleep.

*Dean*

He woke up and checked his watch. 10:43. He heard something in the kitchen.

"Cas?"

"Yes, baby." Cas called back.

"Why aren't you at work, or school or something?" Dean said with a confused look on his face.

Cas walked into the bedroom with a plate of pancakes.

"Today is your day. I canceled everything. You are the most important thing."  Cas explained.

"What about school?"

"I'm sick." Cas said, his voice rich with sarcasm.

"You don't have to do that for me. " Dean stated.

"But I want to. It's Friday, there's nothing important today anyway. But I can watch the lectures online later and get the n--"

Dean cut him of by kissing him. He pulled Cas onto his lap.

"This is the guy I married." He exclaimed.

Cas slid his hands under Dean's shirt.

"I missed you,  Cas. "

"You are always the most important, Dean."

He cupped Deans face in his hands and kissed him softly but Dean pulled him down into a forceful kiss.

"I missed you." He said.

"I know."

[^°^]

He laid still as he softly kissed Cas' neck. His Angel was amazing, so amazing. He could never stop loving him. They had put their boxers on and were cuddling. Dean draped his arm over Cas' waist. Cas laid his hand over Dean's.

"I love you so much."  Cas said. "I'm sorry I haven't been around much. "

"It's okay, baby. I understand."

"It's not okay, Dean. "

"I still love you."

"I know."
