Hi people! This is my first poem and the first thing that I have posted on Wattpad. I intend to do a lot more and write some separate stories but I would love some feedback on my writing and if you guys like it. Why?

Sunday, June 12th 2016. 49 Dead. 53 Injured.
Why?
Transgender men and women are killed for trying to be who they are.
Why?
The LGBTQIA+ community is discriminated against.
Mistreated.
Abused.
Killed, and hated, and misjudged.
Why?
Some claim to be "traditionalist"
That they only serve the word of God.
So did God order his servants to hate and discriminate? To kill?
Some say that we are sinning
That being gay is a choice and that we are making the wrong one.
But if being lgbt was a choice, then who would choose this unfair and unjust treatment?
Who would choose to be hated and discriminated against?
We are all different.
Each in our own separate ways.
We should be able to be who we are
We should be able to love who we love
We should NOT have to jump through hoops and fight for our rights,
Just to be able to marry the one that we love.
Or to use the bathroom that corresponds with our gender.
Homophobia is not a phobia.
It is not a fear.
It is just a sad excuse to discriminate against others that some do not understand.
I'm sorry that you do not understand love.
Please do not take your ignorance out on us...
