Hey guys, gals and everyone in between or outside of. It's been a while since I posted and I realize that not a lot of people read my stuff 'cause it's not great but I like posting what I feel. I wish I was better at writing this stuff so that other people could see it and relate to it and maybe take something away from it. This is just something that I was thinking about after a friend said something to me about wondering what he would be like on an alternate universe. Thanks for reading.

The Me Who is Not Me But Is
By: AlecLGBT
Do you ever wonder if there is another you out there, somewhere?
On an alternate universe, perhaps
Or a different planet?
The person that is you, but isn't?
I wonder what I would be like
The Me that is Me but is not Me.
Would I be different?
Would I be kind?
Happy and gentle and whole?
Would I be a man?
Would I be afraid, terrified
Or would I be strong and confident.
Would the Me that is Me but isn't
Be the Me that I want to be
Now, here on this Earth?
Would that person be unafraid
Unafraid of the consequences of being theirself,
Or would they be petrified as well?
Afraid to look into the shadows of doubt in their mind
Afraid to touch the thoughts and wants that keep creeping up into their brain
Every second of every minute of every day.
Would that person feel hatred every time they look into the mirror
Or would they be content with the person that they have become and are?
If I found myself on an alternate universe, what would I see?
Would I see a me that is not me?
Or would I see the me that I wish I could be?

Thanks for reading! Just something that popped up into my mind that I felt like I had to write down. It's not great but eh, I'm not a poet. I'm just a confused, awkward, slightly-emotionally-unstable being trying to reach others.
