Lucas sinclair part one

I walked round the forest in the darkness, I walked alone I just wanted to leave home and relax. I carried on walking in afraid, then I was. Something flew past my face and hit a tree, the noise echoed in my ear, I screamed loudly.

"I'm Sorry!" I heard someone scream, then I heard footsteps running towards me, I froze in worry clenching my fists. A figure stood in front of me and I could just make out what he looked like, dark skin and his head was covered in a camouflage band.

"My wrist rocket, I think it just went wrong I'm -I'm sorry" He said

I nodded sympathetically,"its fine, why are you out here this late?" I asked revealing myself. The boy jumped when I appeared but seemed to freeze still and stare.

"I'm Lucas!" He said as if he was hypnotised.

I laughed at his forgetfulness,!"I'm Y/N, Y/N L/N" I said smiling.

"Oh um do you know Will Byers is he out here?, I'm out here to look for him, I left my friends to find him myself quickly" He stuttered.

"Oh Will, he sat next to me in Art and History, he is not here sorry Lucas" I said sadly.

"we can see my friends then" Lucas said loudly.

I nodded and followed him putting my hands out helping me through the darkness, I saw a light that showed the figures of 2 other boys.

"Hey I met a girl her name is Y/N and I think she can help us" Lucas said gently holding my wrist.

The boys introduced themselves.

"Ready to find Will?" Mike said placing his bike on the floor

"Yeah I am, i got food with me just incase!" Dustin said proudly.

I let out a small laugh and saw Lucas look at me in a way no one has ever looked at me before, as if he was madly in love, but I mean I cant make guesses I only just met him right?. We walked around the forest hiding from the search party for Will, all I could do is laugh when I was dragged behind a tree, The boys told me to be quiet but Lucas was the only one who giggled with me.

"Thanks y/n see you tomorrow?" Lucas said smiling.

I nodded,"Yep at school, Bye Lucas" I smiled walking away to the sounds of oohhs as the boys punched Lucas playfully.

When i arrived home i watched my younger brother playing i decided to play with him, i reached into my pocket where my brother had threw a Lego block at me, pulling out the lego block i grabbed something else, i looked at my hand to see a rock, i giggled, but the rock looked peculiar, i looked at it in the light and i blushed. The rock seemed to be carved into a shape, i ran my fingers across the carved rock and blushed. It was carved into a heart, Lucas likes me?, but once again i cant make assumptions i just met him.

I ran into my room and placed the rock on my desk and  covered it in petals, i think i was also falling for Lucas Sinclair. I layed on my bed trying to get the thought out of my head knowing how my parents would react, but i couldnt it was floating in my head like a boat at sea, there was no way i was going to tell myself i wasnt falling for Lucas, because i was falling madly in love with Lucas, his smile and determination was amazing, he was kind and understanding, but i had only known him for a couple of hours. I felt my eyes feeling heavy as my head swirwled with thoughts, i got changed and covered myself in my cover dreaming of tomorrow, its going to be awkward.

I threw a striped turtle neck on and some jeans and brushed my hair quickly pulling it into a high ponytail and putting on a bracelet and a rucsac, i grabbed some toast and walked outside ignoring my parents, i wanted to see Lucas, maybe tell him how i feel. When i arrived at school i waited at the bike rack i would normally see Lucas at, this time he was already there with the boys , i saw a hint of worry appear on their faces as Troy and James arrived, i jogged over there and watched listening in.

"Midnight huh" Troy laughed oushing Lucas.

"Midnight are you bloody serious Troy shut your mouth you peice of -"

"You can speak loser"Troy laughed pushing me.

Me and Troy used to be friends but as he grew up he ignored me and turned into some monster.

"Hey dont push her" Lucas shouted in Troys face

"Midnight what are you go-"Troy started, instead of letting Troy carry on insulting the boys for their flaws i decided to with all my strength kick my leg into Troy's balls.

"OUUCCHH" Troy screamed falling onto the muddy floor.

"OHH"Dustin and Mike shouted laughing.

Everyone came running over circling us laughing loudly and pointing at Troy who was on the floor holding the part i kicked him in.

"Woah that was cool y/n" Lucas smiled.

"o-oh it was nothin- i i mean nothing" I said awkwardly.

Lucas chuckled awkwardly, he looked at me, Ohh i messed up...Bad. The bell rang and i did a sigh of relief.

"History, maybe we can sit next to eachother y/n assuming miss is moving round the seats" Lucas said walking with me

"Yeah so you can kiss" Mike laughed

"Mike shut it!" Lucas said clearly annoyed

"Sorry "Dustin said his lisp peeking through

"Yeah you better be sorry" Lucas said angrily walking faster.

I caught up,"Hey i - you can i guess ignore them" I said, I silently groaned in my mind, he is gonna think im weird now.

"Thanks, y/n your- i mean yeah" Lucas said holding the door open for me, i looked at him and saw his face, it looked as if he messed something up , stood at the back of the room watching everyone take their new seats.

"Lucas and y/n, to the left" Miss shouted pointing at the two free seats, part of me was happy to sit next to Lucas but the other half was dreading it because of my awkwardness, i took a seat and smiled as Lucas sat with me, i carried on with the lesson answering Lucas, most of the lesson was me holding in laughs at Lucas' comments, was i really falling in love knowing the consequences?
