As Days Fade And Nights Grow (Sequel to Aw Sugar...)

Chapter 1

Harley-

Pain. That's all I can feel. A burning coming from my neck, like someone dumped acid on it and is now spreading through my entire body. My muscles were so tight and my heart beat slowed down. I couldn't see, I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe. What's happening?

"Sometimes we must grow stronger and
You can't be stronger in the dark
When I'm here, no longer
You must be stronger and"

Through all the pain and agony I feel something warm wrap tightly around me, tangling itself around my body. The warmth is spreading over my body and it feels soft. Like it's trying to ease away the pain. But the tighter it gets, the heavier it becomes.

"If I could be with you tonight
I would sing you to sleep
Never let them take the light behind your eyes
I failed and lost this fight
Never fade in the dark
Just remember you will always burn as bright"

But now I feel a new pain. In my mouth and in my throat. The top of my gums keep throbbing. Is this what babies and young animals feel when they're teething? My throat was burning, just screaming for a drink. A drink of what though? Not water, but something else.

Who is that? Why are they singing? Who are they singing to? What song are they singing? That voice though. His voice. I've heard it before. He's singing to me. His voice, it's easing the pain and taking the weight off of me. His voice. I need to find where his voice is coming from!

The last sentence sounded like a mumble. The pain, the burning, the weight. It was all gone. But so was the voice. His voice. I know that voice! Gerard! I have to see him! I need him! "G-G-G-G-Ger...ard!" I tried to say, but it comes out in a quiet squeak. Though, I feel something cold yet comforting on my hand.

"I'm here sugar." His voice says through the darkness. Oh Gerard. I need you so badly. I can't wake up. I try my to open my eyes but my lids won't budge. "It's time to wake up Harley." His voice whispers. My eyelids are no longer still. They finally let me see again.

Everything's so blurry. It takes my eyes a little while to adjust to the room around me before I can see again. I was in the same room that I woke up in earlier. Gerard was sitting on the edge of the bed right next to me with his cold pale hand on top of mine. "Hey sugar." He says softly.

I lean up but my muscles are sore. Gerard puts a hand on my back and helps me sit up. "How do you feel?" He asks. I groaned and leaned my head on his shoulder, causing him to chuckle. "Sore, tired, and kind of thirsty." I replied. Gerard wraps his arms around me and pulls me onto his lap.

"I'll get you something to drink." He said. I nodded into his shoulder and he lifted me up and carried me out of the room. "Gerard? Where are we anyways?" I asked. He sat me down on the counter when we got to the kitchen and went to the fridge. "We're in a house in the middle of the woods.

It's where we'll be staying for a while. Nobody will find us here. Don't worry, we're safe." Gerard replied. I nodded and he handed me a pack with red liquid inside it. "Uh, what is this?" I asked, holding it up. Gerard came up to me and rubbed my legs up and down. "Blood." He simply answered.

I looked at him with fearful eyes. I can't drink this! "Sweetie, you gotta. You're a vampire now. If you don't you'll starve, and trust me, you do not want to go down that road. Unless you want to suffer." He said and his hands rested on my hips. I put my fingers to my mouth and felt the fangs.

I let out a shaky breath and gulped. "It's okay sugar. The flavor isn't as bad as you think. In fact, it tastes amazing. AB positive is sweeter tasting than most blood, that's why I gave it to you to start with. Just give it a little taste and you'll see." Gerard reassured.

I sighed and opened the pack of blood and slowly drank a little. He was right! This does taste amazing! It's not that metallic flavor I was expecting. I don't know how to describe it, it just tasted great! Before I knew it I had gulped down the entire pack!

"See? What I tell you?" Gerard asks with a cocky smile. I playfully punch his shoulder. "Shut up!" I grumbled. He only laughed lightly and wrapped his arms around me and lifted me off the counter. I laughed when he wouldn't put me down. "Gee! Put me down!" I giggled.

"NO! I don't wanna!" He said, tightening his grip on me. I laughed and shook my head. We stopped laughing and Gerard pulled me into a kiss. I kissed back and wrapped my legs around his waist. Gerard walked forward and pushed me against the wall, never breaking the kiss.

He slipped his tongue in, tasting the blood I just consumed. He broke the kiss and went for my neck, licking and sucking on my sensitive spots, earning a few moans from me. "I love you Harley." He mumbled into my neck. "I-I love you too Gerard!" I moaned.
