Chapter 25: Ember Rage

After that night I decided to spend my life not alone but with friends  I became friends with Destiny again high school and college was great .I spend most of it with V I finally told her my real name and my story. She didn't believe me untill I showed her what I could do, I even told Carmen she knew I wasn't just her normal little brother going through normal human problems  ,but she still loved me as her brother. Sarah&Jake however ,got married during there my 3rd year Jake told me "I could wait I want to spend the rest of my life with her cause I love her" he proposed and she said yes. I went as his best man that day I didn't want to be Equinox the Lord of Rage. I wanted Jace Von Longway  I was proud of myself.  I wait till me and V we're done with college and had our owe place ....so we could start a family I was proud of the day I got to hold my beloved daughter Ember Rage. She is my world and I want to make sure she knew that I was  proud to be her father and to  one day become a husband. Now, I 100% ready, cause I knew today was the day I popped the question, I get home from work and I heard something. I look around the house I going to see if my daughter is , but she's still sleep in her crib an 8month old baby who loves to sleep I say in my head. I go to our bedroom hoping Victoria was home and I was right I walked in the room and their she was making out in bed with another guy my heart crushed,broken,RAGE full on sadness she jumps as so as she sees me "Sweetie your home ...it's not what it looks like " I look her and the guy "you lied to me I thought I could trust you but I was wrong  about everything." I throw the ring at her "GET OUT OF HERE NOW !!" the guy tries to run out the door but I grab him and he saw my eyes turn red  "You took away my happiness now you will pay."I punch him in his throat he falls to the floor gasping for air  and tries to run  again and then I look at Victoria she got her clothes and left "I'll come tomorrow to get them I'm so sorry Jace I didn't think this would." I hear Ember cry and run to pick her up I feed her, gave her a bath,changed her twice ,and I sat down on the bed with her in my arms a told her my story and as she went to sleep I kissed her and laid her back down. I began to cry what felt like one hour was really most of the night. Ember slept threw it all I didn't want her to see her father being weak. I heard a knock and knew it was Victoria I had already got her stuff and closed the door ,  I held  Ember tight, I became calm ,but then  sensed something my eyes turned red. I looked in door mirror and saw Ruby looking at me "Hello brother i want to talk to you." I surprised after all this time. I opened the door and walked up to V  who was packing and crying.   I walked toward her and told her to hold her. Ember looks.  at me I kissed her forehead "Ember I'll be  back" I go my room to talk  to Ruby.  I thought everything was going to be fine. I closed the door and walked in the mirror I walked up to Ruby "we'll brother did you say goodbye to your daughter?" I looked confused but then I saw Ruby. She  somehow closed the door makes the mirror disappears and I turn to look and I was in a cage "Ruby what are you doing ."  She replied with "We need you now and I'm sorry but Mesa thought this was the only way for you stay here so you are here imprisoned here till your non-human family doesn't exist anymore. " she sound so sad that's how I knew Mesa had did something to make her do this "what about my daughter your niece?" Mesa appears "she'll live without you. Here you can watch grow up though She summons a ball of water and pops up Victoria carrying Ember to the car, I began to cry and beg Mesa to let me go back but she grabbed Ruby by the hand and they  disappeared   "Please let me go please." I  yelled and cried over and over hoping they will listen,so I can see my little girl one more time.
