Chapter 2

* NIALL'S POV *

"C'mon Niall, you know you're upset that girl didn't flirt with you. Just admit it already." Zayn told me in a teasing voice with some stupid ass smirk on his face.

"Dammit, Zayn, I'm not even upset. I could get her if I wanted to, I could get anyone. I just don't want her."

I know that's a complete lie. Not the part about me getting anyone I want, that seems to be kinda true, the part where I mentioned I don't want her. I don't know if it's the way she was a feisty one, I just found it pretty amusing, or the fact that she's pretty hot.

"Sure man. I think both Zayn and I know that you're just butt hurt cause she talked to us and not you." God, can Harry be any more annoying at the moment? I don't want to admit anything. I don't want them bugging me about it constantly and then tell the whole group that I actually want her.

"She was hot though. Wasn't she Zayn? Did you see the way her hips moved when she walked? Like, woah man, I know where I'm gonna start eating regularly." Zayn nodded at Harry's words. All I did was get pretty annoyed.

"Okay guys, you can shut the fuck up now." I said in a harsh voice.

They both laughed as we were making our way back to Zayn's house.

I have somewhere near forty minutes to get ready and drive to school to actually be on time.

I get to see Kelly. I doubt she knows that I actually fancy her. I don't need anyone knowing these things either way.

I dress up in some black jeans, a nirvana T-shirt, white supras, and a regular black beanie. That took about ten minutes. I'll just sleep for twenty more minutes and then eat a quick breakfast.

* KELLY'S POV *

"I heard Mr. Masey is making us do a science project with a partner. How about we pair up?" Danielle asked me.

"Sounds like a plan. What's the project about?"

"Uh, honestly I don't know. But I know for a fact that if we're partners this project is gonna be the easiest thing." She told me with an enthusiastic voice.

I laughed lightly at her comment. "Yea, I guess so. I'll see you there right?" Dani was really smart and I guess I'm pretty smart too but together we could finish a lot. She's been my other best friend right next to Carlos.

"Okay class, sit down anywhere. There's an assignment that'll be due in exactly one month." Mr. Masey told the class once the bell rang.

Dani and I looked at each other. I saw Mr. Masey noticed Dani and I looking at each other. He had a mischievous look after it. He looked a bit amused actually.

"For all the critters who already knew there was a project, I bet you didn't know I was choosing partners randomly. I wrote half the class' name on pieces of paper, the other half will be getting a random paper and that'll be their partner. Okay?"

The whole class muttered an 'Okay' after Mr. Masey's instructions.

Someone walked into the class. He looked familiar, I couldn't figure those features out yet. I have a positive feeling I've seen him somewhere.

"Class, this here is Niall. Today is his first day and I guess he got lucky, I see from my list that Niall gets to choose first. Go ahead son, just pick a name and say the name you got."

"I got Kelly Gold.. Who is that exactly?" His voice was low. Quite attractive actually. Wait, no, it's not. He's the flirty guy from that long night I had. A week after my birthday.

"Kelly? Kelly. Raise your hand please. Kels, this is your new partner for the next month. Niall, just sit right next to her. Okay who's next?"

I saw some kind of look on his face. Something that looked like achievement and accomplishment. It's pretty hot actually... No, no it's not.

"C'mon Kelly, you like him, you're just trying to prove a point I recommend you just stop now." My mind mocked me. I know it's true, well, kinda.

"Hello Kelly, Kelly Gold." Niall told me with the same look on his face, I hated yet loved it at the same time. Goodness, what's wrong with me?

"Stop talking to me, let's work together today after school and get this over with. Let's meet at the main door to the school. Okay?" I whisper yell to him. I'm making sure I'm proving my dominance here.

I hear him laugh a little. "Why not take it nice and slow babe?" He said slowly with a smirk on his face. Why couldn't I just be with Dani?

"Be serious. I mean it. I don't want to see you anywhere outside of school at any time, let's get this over with."

"Don't worry, I think I'll be visiting your little restaurant a bit more often than usual."

I groan loudly as he simply laughs at me. I start walking away as I hear the bell ring, I guess it's true. People actually do get saved by the bell.
