Kaitlyn's POV

I woke up with my head on someone's lap, I figured it was Nathan since they were holding my hand. I sat up and saw it wasn't, it was Tristen. Yesterday began to flash before my eyes making me angry I felt the tears fall so I quickly wiped them away. It was midnight and I was feeling a lot better than I was yesterday. I yawned loudly by accident and I saw his eyes flicker open it the dark room. "Kaitlyn?" He squinted his eyes trying to make sure he was right.

"Yeah, Tristen." He sat up smiling my hand still twined with his. "You can stay if you want it's really late, it's dark, and I don't live in the best neighborhood."

"It sounds like you're trying to keep me here." He leaned forward whispering.

"As if." I rolled my eyes making him attack me. "Woah!"

We began wrestling each other and laughing probably way to loud. He had fallen off the bed and I began laughing more but then I figured he could be hurt. "Are you okay?" I stifled my laughter a small bit.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He laughed with me, then got up. "Well.. good morning."

"It's midnight." I told him winking.

"Midnight is morning." I dropped my jaw embarrassed and looked in the other direction. "You should probably go back to sleep so you're not falling asleep during class."

I got off the bed running to my kitchen, my name was being called behind me but I ignored it. "I'm hungry." I whispered yelled to him making him laugh when he got to the kitchen.

"It's 12 in the morning and you want food?" He whispered back a chuckle in his voice.

"Have you never heard of a midnight snack?" It was hard to see him in the dark but it felt weird to turn on the light.

"Yeah.." He smiled and we both began searching for something to eat.

"It's found cookies!" I yelled cheering hearing a groan from the living room made them fly out of my hands. "Did you hear that?"

"Yeah I did." We locked eyes and I ran over to him wrapping my arms around his neck terrified. "What are you doing?"

"I'm scared. What if they kill us." He held me tighter and even I knew he was a tiny bit scared.

"It's probably nothing." We heard moment from the living room and we moved to the corner of the kitchen holding each other tightly.

"I don't think it's nothing." I whispered beginning to hear my own heart racing.

"We should probably go see what it is." I nodded my head but neither of us moved.

The tv turned on then and I knew right then that this wasn't someone who was going to kill us. "Thats not a person who's going to  kill us is it?" He asked embarrassed his body began to heat up and a small blush formed on his cheeks.

"I don't think so." I smiled blushing from how close we were together. "Let's go in together."

We got out of each other's arms and quietly tip-toed into the living room.  As soon as we walked in I jumped onto the futon hearing a low groan from whoever was there. I held them down with my arm to their neck. I looked at who it was and then my mouth went into an O shape. "What the hell are you doing here?" I screamed at the shaggy haired boy.

"Who is it?" Tristen asked from behind me.

"It's god damn Nathan." I got off of him while he held onto his throat since it probably hurt. "What are you freaking doing in my house!"

"I didn't want to be away from you." I rolled my eyes and leaned on the wall next to Tristen. "I felt awful for everything that I had said, but then when I looked at you and your new boyfriend I didn't want to leave."
