I really have no explanation for this apart from the fact it could simply be a prank. Dan has said again and again it was a joke. I do have speculation on this but I am not sure. Normally when people say "I don't ship phan" everyone immediately comes to this which I don't blame them as it is clear evidence of them being or used to being in a relationship together.
