The sun was almost down, and all you heard was the fire crackling. Dean grabs a sharp stick and bends down, drawing a circle around the campsite. After he was done with the circle, he drew signs near the circle.
"What are those signs for?" Haley asked.
"They're Anasazi symbols that the creature won't cross, it will keep us safe for tonight." Dean replied.
"Oh, ok." Haley whispered, paying more attention to Ben.
Dean got up and looked around for Sam, but he didn't spot him. He turned around and there he was with their father's book in his hand. Dean smiled and walked over to Sam.
"Doin ok, Sammy?"
"I'm-," Sam started to say, but cut off by Dean.
"No, no you're not ok. What's wrong with you lately? I'm supposed to be the grumpy one remember?" Dean joked.
Sam didn't even smile.
"I don't know Dean. Obviously our Dad isn't here, why are we wasting so much time looking for this creature? Why can't we just bring these people back to their town and hit the road and find Dad?" questioned Sam.
Dean grabbed their Dad's journal and held it in his hands in front of Sam.
"This is why, Sam." Dean said.
"I think Dad wants us to pick up where he left off. Saving people, hunting things, the family business." Dean just smiled at Sam after that.
Sam looked at his brother with a blank stare, and said," I want to find Jessica's killer."
"Well, we have to find Dad first before we find out who the killer is, Sam. It's going to take awhile, it's going to take patience." Dean told him.
"How do you and Dad do it?"
"Well for one, them," Dean pointed his head towards Haley and Ben," you know I figure our family is so screwed to hell, maybe we can help some others, makes things a bit more bearable. I'll tell you what else helps, killing as many evil son of a bitches that I possibly can."
All of a sudden, a shriek came off from far off in the distance. Everyone stood up in alarm.
"Ok everybody, stay put. It's going to be ok, it's just the creature." Dean assured everyone.
"What? Stay in the magic circle?" joked Roy.
Dean shot an annoyed glance towards Roy, Roy just smirked. Growling and scratching circled around in the bushes, but everyone followed Dean's orders and stayed put. Roy raises up his gun and shoots into the forest repeatedly. Then it became quiet, and a very loud whimper rang in everyone's ears. Roy turned around and smiled," I got it!" he exclaimed. Then he ran out near the sound of the whimper.
"No! Roy come back!" the brothers screamed after Roy.
The group ran after Roy, but it was already too late. Roy was standing next to a pine tree and a bony hand reached down and grabbed him and then snapped his neck. Then all you hear is his body being ripped apart.
OK, this chapter is kind of short also, but I mean not all chapters have to be long. Also, this chapter Roy obviously dies, thank god! Is it wrong to say that? I mean Roy just annoyed me, he always didn't follow Dean's and Sam's orders and he was like a know it all. Dean and Sam were the only ones who actually knows what's going on! So, done with the raving and complaining, I hope you love this chapter! Comment below for feedback! Thanks! :)
